I sometimes get messages addressed to Felicity, which makes perfect sense, I mean, we are called Felicity Events.
My name is actually Maria Katrina (my middle name is another story for next time but it's important that I include it)
I named my company after my indomitable and inspiring grandmother, Felicitas Bantug. Here she is on her wedding day with Grandpa. A classic beauty, isn't she? God called her home in March, but she continues to inspire me to have faith, follow my heart, and live with integrity and honesty.
So when I get messages addressed to Felicity, I feel joy and I smile! It reminds me of why I decided to go forward towards my dream. Love you and miss you Ma.

25 Years.
25 years ago we landed in Boise, ID from the Phillippines. It wasn't our first trip to the US - we've been several times to visit family in California, but I still remember feeling both excitement and hesitation about moving to what will be our new home. We moved here after my Dad got a job for Zilog at the time, based in Nampa.
Proud to be a Filipino-American and I can honestly say that in living in Idaho, I have mostly felt welcomed by everyone around me. Although we're still working on diversity, I found people to be genuinely curious about Filipino culture and excited to know more. I'm an optimist - so perhaps the hateful vitriol just flew over my head but I aim to continue to see the good in people.
Thankful to my parents for both their courage and enormous sacrifice to move from their home into (then) the unknown. Thankful to Idaho for welcoming us with open arms. And now, thankful to be able to give back by helping wedding couples start their own journey :)

Hi! I’m Maria Katrina and I’m the owner of Felicity Events. I’m a creative at heart and a savvy project manager with a career background in finance/accounting. It a no-brainer why I found myself naturally drawn to event planning— which has theatrical production, budgeting and project management aspects. I started out in the Theatre world - as a professional actor, director and producer. I transitioned to a successful career in the finance/accounting industry and then got certified as a project management professional. I absolutely love bringing joy and connecting with people, whether that’s on stage, my business career and especially in the special events I get to plan for my clients.
