How to Plan a Packing Party
1. Know where you are going when you die. The most important decision you will ever make is to accept Jesus as your Savior. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the World that He gave His only son that whoever believes in Him shall not die but have eternal life.” If you have any questions private message me and I would love to help you.
2. Knowing Jesus doesn’t come close to the joy a relationship with Him can bring. Yes, we look forward to Heaven but we have a relationship where we can walk and talk with Jesus everyday! As we come to know Jesus and His love for us we want to share it with everyone.
3. If you have parents, a spouse, children, neighbors and friends who you encounter you are going to want to share with them the love and joy you have found in Christ Jesus. Who knows? They may have been searching for years to find the peace and unconditional love of God.
4. When you know your loved ones also have a relationship or perhaps this is the perfect time to share your own experience then plan a packing party.
5. Set a time convenient for all of your family.
6. Send out a copy of the packing list below.
7. Plan a fun menu of all the delicious foods you love - if you are a calorie counter like me celebrate that in Heaven we are all made perfect!
8. After a fun dinner-on-the-ground type meal (we had shrimp, tamales, bread…) gather around and read your responses on your Packing List, sing a few songs that are your favorites, and celebrate that whenever God calls one of you home you are packed and ready!
9. Make sure you leave your packing list where your loved ones can find it. Trust me, those things in that Will are perishable and will come and go. Knowing “When we all get to Heaven what a day of rejoicing that will be. When we all see Jesus we’ll sing and shout the victory,” will bring tremendous comfort to yoiur family and loved ones.
10. As you reflect on the separation be reminded that it is only temporary. Y’all all packed a long time ago. To God be the glory!🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
