2023 LAHJA Awards Banquet!!! Congratulations to Taya Wykert, winner of the LAHJA Horsemastership Competition Hands On Phase, tied for 1st in the Written Phase and was the overall winner receiving a $2,500 college scholarship prize! Taya also won one of the LAHJA Treasure Trunks full of great prizes. Charlie Rosenthal and Columbus were 2’6” children’s Hunter champion, Julia Grace Alexander was Reserve Champion Walk-Trot and Abby Steller and Gavroche were Reserve Champion 3’3”/3’6” A/O Hunter. Nice job done by all!!!

What a fun Santa Barbara Riding Club horse show! 3 Medal finals and 3 winners!! Abby Steller on Cantuccini wins the SBCRC 3’ medal final, Charlie Rosenthal on Columbus is champion SBCRC 2’6” medal final and Sophia Friedman on Ulligan De La Rocque takes home the SBCRC 2’ champion ribbon!! Congratulations to all for some great riding! More congratulations go to the rest of our Santa Barbara Champions: Yulia Vope and Givarna Reserve champion .80 jumpers, Abby Steller Champion Camelot hunter derby final, champion Child/AA hunter on Gavroche as well as Child/AA equitation champion on Cantuccini. Abby was also res champion Camelot hunter derby final on Quentino. Ella Fox on Royals Lux reserve champion Child/AA hunter and reserve champion Child/AA equitation. Yiya Gu on Oh Wonder 21 took the championship in crossrail equitation and Amelia Peck on Colorful came home with the crossrail hunter championship. In the stirrup division it was Nina Tong on Roger That reserve champion in the hunter division and Maddie Triplett on Benetton taking the championship in the equitation division. The .90 jumper reserve champion was Grace Curley on Donatella Sine and in the Restricted division Charlie Rosenthal on Columbus came home with champion in the hunter and reserve champion in the equitation sections. Julia Grace Alexander in Fiesta Baby was champion walk trot flat and Mo Ty Zwerchowski-Nguyen on My Serena was the champion in walk trot over poles. Great riding done by all and a fantastic show!!!

Sadly we lost our beloved Polly ❤️ At somewhere around 30-35 years old she has given so much joy to so many young riders. She was sweet, kind, and such a gentle soul. Polly was accepted into the USHJA Lesson Horse Honor Roll and she rightfully deserved this honor. Although she didn’t canter in her advanced years, she was the best walk-trot horse and perfect partner for so many riders. We will miss her terribly but know she is with her friends running free!!! ❤️❤️❤️

💫 It was a great day at Gold Coast October!!! Congratulations to Matilda Schulman and Summerhouse Farm LLC’s Quentino who earned a 2nd place win in round 1 and reserve Champion overall in the LAHJA 3’3” Gold Medal Final. Coming in 3rd overall and winning round 2 is Isabel Baker on her own Spartelina G. Charlie Rosenthal riding Gansert Equestrian LLC’s Columbus wins the first round of the LAHJA 2’6” Bronze Medal final and is Reserve Champion overall! Shelby Steinberg on Nicole Husky’s Freedom is the winner of round 2 LAHJA 2’9” Bronze Medal Final and 3rd overall. Congratulations on some great riding by all of these competitors !!!💫

💫 Huge congratulations to our medal finalists!!! 🥇Abby Steller anours Cantuccini winner of the 2023 SCHSA Challenge Medal Final, Ella Fox on Royal Lux, 4th , and Bella Liu on Intrepido 9th place. In the CPHA Child Adult Medal Final Shelby Steinberg riding Greedom was Reserve Champion, Sienna Pravettone on Romanee Conti 3rd, and Tatiana Safai aboard Fallandor Van Den Bosrand brought home the 9th place!! Fabulous riding done by all at the Flintridge Autumn Classic!!!

💫 A very nice win for Abigail Steller on Summerhouse Farm LLC’s Cantuccini 🏆 Out of a field of 15, Abby took the win in the $5000 USHJA National Hunter Derby with scores of 86 and 87! She also rode Summerhouse Farm LLC’s Gavroche to 11th place at Flintridge Autumn Classic. Congratulations to Abby!!💫
