Heyyyyy there, Munchichis!

Happy Sunday funday to you all…brace yourself for a bit of a long post. ❤️

Wasn’t even sure how to start this one. So I’m gonna start with, thank you.

I’ve been on this wild ride for 3 years. I have been so unbelievably blessed to be present and feeding folks from all walks of life…from homeless camps to bougie gated communities.

I’ve served birthdays, baby showers, weddings, funerals, business grand openings, anniversaries, trivia/karaoke/bingo nights, holiday festivities, makers markets, school carnivals, concerts, neighborhood HOA events, corporate events, graduations, drag shows, charity fundraisers, food hall visitors, Ball Arena staff…and on and on. It’s actually been wild to reflect on all of the cool spaces I’ve been welcomed into and groups I’ve been able to work with.

I’ve done trainings for small business owners, interviews about my business, even a calendar for women in business. I’ve done Elementary and middle school career days for kids who wanted to learn about food trucks. I’ve met some of the most AMAZING fellow food truck owners and chefs who have been such a supportive community-it’s so beautiful and fun to have been a part of that.

Just over 3 years ago I left my career in teaching to pursue this crazy idea of mine. In doing so, I was also allowed the time to be the primary child care provider for my tiny bff, a.k.a. my grandbaby. Well-she’s about to start full-day school (😭) and the winds of change are a-blowin’ for me again.

I’m heading back into the field of education, in a very different role than before, but back with students and families and my community.

Meyers Munchies was a dream come true for me, and I genuinely thank every single person who supported me, near and far, over the last 3 years. I will miss y’all…but hey, I will now have time to hang out on the evenings and weekends, so call me! 😉

Today I’m parked outside the awesome Coda Brewing Co., enjoying this beautiful sunshine…come see me!

Tomorrow (Sunday), I’ll be serving up breakfast goodies at drag brunch at Western Sky Bar & Taproom, and then spending the rest of the day with my friends at Lady Justice Brewing!

I hope to see you, feed you, and give you a hug! 😊

Happy Sunday, Munchichis! Story time…

I haven’t posted much this week because I’ve been SLAMMED!

I often tell people I love to cook and feed folks because food represents love. It represents community, family, connection, culture.

Life is made up of big and small events. I had the honor of providing the food at 2 different wedding events this weekend. I don’t take that lightly. That’s a HUGE event in someone’s life! The food needs to match that energy.

I was so grateful to receive really positive feedback from the wedding parties after the events were over.

I’m lacking food pics because the first event was drop off/set up style catering and the food was still covered when I left. The second event was on the truck and I was WAYYY too busy to think about pics!

Wedding #1 was a spread of French onion pulled pork sandwiches (with a vegetarian jackfruit option as well as gluten free bun option), green chile mac & cheese, potato salad, garden salad, maple brown sugar baked beans, and cherry and apple cobblers to feed about 115 people!

Wedding #2 was a loaded nacho/taco bar with shredded chicken or carne asada options and elotes. This was for a “kid” my son grew up with since they were tiny tots…I may have cried from the truck. 🥹

Anyway! Today I’m parked at a private pool party, slangin concession stand munchies for the neighborhood kids.

Some days I just need to sit back and remember I’m lucky to have been a tiny piece of these folks’ stories. ❤️

It’s Pride weekend and it’s HOT out here!!

I’m outside Zymos Brewing for the afternoon/evening with the simple summertime snacks like hot dogs and nachos, and inside they’re cooling ya down with seltzer slushes!

I have a fully customizable catering menu, and love making delicious spreads to feed the masses!

Whew! I spent the last couple days out at neighborhood HOA events…Summer is here!

Tomorrow is a big day…I’m starting off at Western Sky Bar & Taproom for drag brunch!! Come out for the show-your ticket price includes your first drink. I’ll have a yummy menu of brunchy munchies!
