Today I got to marry a beautiful couple and they jumped the broom to unify their union at the end of the ceremony! This is a traditional way to end a wedding in some Black communities. The practice is documented as a marriage ceremony for enslaved people in the Southern United States during the 1840s and 1850s, who were often not permitted to marry legally. Our couple today decided to carry on this beautiful tradition! The bride even decorated the broom herself! What a whirlwind of a weekend in Tulum, Mexico! As most of you all know…I love to travel, well we are taking the wedding planning INTERNATIONAL! We are excited to help a wonderful couple plan their Tulum destination wedding for their close family and friends! This past weekend was spent looking at different resorts and their wedding venues, rooms, and dining options! All so we could get a feel for the guest experience! We even flew into the new Tulum airport to see how that operated! Our Story

I will never forget March 28, 2017, when the doctor told us that my fiancé, Troy, had Stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma of the nasal cavity. Oh, and by the way, it was a rare type of cancer with a 35% survival rate. We were devastated, especially because Troy just proposed to me on January 1, 2017! Instead of throwing an engagement party, we were going to start going through many rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, and surgeries.

While helping Troy go through his treatments, I was also planning our wedding. Troy did NOT want to cancel the wedding, as the vision of seeing me walk down the aisle gave him the hope and motivation to overcome and beat cancer. This was no small feat and took a lot of determination and heart. Planning an event with someone who may not survive to that date can be nerve-wracking and scary, but I did it! In March of 2020, Troy was pronounced cancer free! We are so overjoyed and thankful that we have been given another lease on life! We plan to live life to the fullest each day!

After going through this heart-breaking ordeal, I realized my life’s purpose and vision is to help terminally ill people have a “Timeless Dream Event”. We love to celebrate life each day, and I want others to feel the same way! Everyone deserves a celebration of life, especially during uncertain times. I am a compassionate person who understands this type of sensitive situation and will empathize with you during this time. I am proud of the services we offer and the vendors that I work with and hope you will follow us on this special journey!
