A formal black and white wedding, with a twist 🤍🖤

We wanted to have some ying and yang with the tabletop a few months before the wedding & the bride said “I don’t care”. Lmfao for real she trusted us and said do your thing & our thing we did. We did black tables with all white accents (chairs, tabletop, etc) and white tables with all black accents. It played off of the black and white checkered dance floor well and really helped each table stick out with the design and not blend in too much.

This was actually ceremony back up #2 since the park we were planning had been taken over by an art exhibit. Maybe I’m bias, but sometimes things don’t work out and the end result is even better than the previous plan. ✨

Everyone go wish our girl a very happy birthday 🎉 She’s a cinco de mayo baby, but we wanted all the extra attention on her, so we are posting today. Also please wish her luck as she prepares to bring a tiny human into the world!! She is officially transitioning her role over to Demi, so that she can focus on this next chapter of motherhood.

Morgan has been a pivotal part of growing Wilder Mind Events and I’m so beyond grateful for her enthusiasm and expertise she has brought to the table. I wouldn’t have kept my sanity if it wasn’t for her calm demeanor and level headed brain. You mean the world to me Morgs, but I’ll stop being sappy 🥹💕

In honor of earth day, here are some simple ways to reduce waste on your big day!

1. Rent rent rent. It’s so easy to want to buy anything and everything….but having rental items and being able to reuse ♻️ for event after event saves so much waste!
2. Pot/Plants for centerpieces that can go into your guests own garden!
3. Donate your flowers after the wedding day, we work with organizations that will turn them into small hospital and nursing home arrangements!
4. Avoid single use plastics and be intentional with what you purchase!
5. Thrift your wedding day and event attire!

Pink & Pizza 🍕 and go down in history as one of the most chill and present couples. They truly spent the day with one another, had private vows (like literally no photographer even in the room), & stayed by each other’s side. Oh, & they had a pizza buffet…best vendor meal EVER 🤌🏼

When the couple wanted a modern wedding with a splash boho, we made two concepts combine beautifully into one! Instead of the typical black and white modern color palette, we added in beige/tan as an accent color to bring out that more “natural” bohemian look. Black stayed a main color to really keep that slick and modern feel. We also had dried flowers, pampas, and pops of blush to round out the palette.

Did you know most of our clients like multiple wedding styles, so we always try to find out who to make those styles work together- instead of just picking one “theme”?

Happy St. Patrick’s Day & Happy 1 year anniversary to DJ & Jim! ☘️ we are reminiscing on the absolute PARTY DJ & Jim had for their St. Patrick’s wedding day. Food trucks, a flower man/who also had a pot of gold coins he threw down the aisle, and all the high noons one could imagine. We were so ☘️lucky☘️ to be part of this day!

The Big News is…. Drum roll please 🥁 🥁🥁🥁Our 100th wedding is today!! 🤍🤟🤩 Let me repeat that, our 100th wedding!! I’m so damn proud of this accomplishment. In less than three years we hit such a big goal! I only had 7 weddings in 2020- we hit this goal in about 2 years realistically. Life has a funny way of making things a full circle moment. In February 2020 I did a wedding at the Morean center for Clay for another company, and that wedding was the final straw for me and what launched me into wanting to officially start my business. As we approach our hundredth wedding, I realized that the wedding today is at the Morean center for Clay. Call it fate, God, or the universe but this wedding today feels spiritual to me and a reminder that I am right where I’m supposed to be. Thank you for the constant support and I can’t wait to keep creating magic and being part of your special days!
