Today we soft tested our new "Soul Bowls" ! It was a hit and will be on our menu periodically! They are $15 comes with mac and cheese baked beans or rice cabbage or collard greens a slice of cornbread three chicken wings and two ribs or smoked beef sausage!

This is an old pic. but we are thinking about bringing back This is beer battered flounder with chips and hand cut calamari. We would offer this and cod beer battered, and we would offer catfish, whiting, and shrimp with chips and coleslaw. More to come soon!

Someone asked me why we don't do some of the trends.. here is my answer.. Grandma did not make oxtail pasta.. so I don't make oxtail pasta grandma made stewed oxtails with carrots and onions poured over white rice.. so that is what we made..... Grandma did not stuff chicken wings with collard greens and macaroni and cheese.. grandma fried the most beautiful chicken wings and served them with mac and cheese and collard greens.. grandma never made fried catfish and put it into a taco topped with collard greens and gravy.. Grandma served hot fresh catfish with white bread hot sauce and mustard.. this is why we are different.. this is why we are so good.. I don't have time for the games and the gimmicks.. I don't need likes.... I don't need to be the trend or to be whats hot right now..... All I got to do is what grandma did......I make good fresh simple food.....Amen ...Amen just like Grandma did ...
