Here is a collage of the steps I took to make the bat’s armsleeves.. err- arm wings? I originally made a quick, messy sketch to get a good idea on what I was preparing to make. It always helps a lot to try and imagine and map out what you are planning to make! I am now back to my regular posting. Thank you so much for your patience!

I finally finished my first fursuit and this cute bat is up for adoption just in time for October! I’ll accept payment plans, but up front is preferred. Just keep in mind he will not be sent out until full payment is received! He is $1,500 USD or best offer. If autobought, I will include the squeaky pumpkin prop seen in this post. Head info:
The head was built off of a West’s Custom Creations head base. It is built with elastic in the back of the head and over the top so it should fit up to 23 inches. 22-23 inches being a nice and snug fit. Head is fully lined, good vision with a small blind spot, and mouth opening is big enough to fit a water bottle in for a drink! The tongue is adjustable and attached by Velcro. It has a shorter length and a longer length for the cutest of bleps 👅

Armsleeve/Wing info:
The arm sleeves measurements are 18 inches in length, 13 inches in the upper arms, 13 inches in the wrists, 12 1/2 inches of elastic across the back, and the white tip of the wings are 19 inches long. The wings are made of soft fleece and can be held up to spread the wings or just left down to relax.

Tail info:
The tail is a simple, two colored nub tail. It is super soft and about 8 inches long! Built with two elastic straps to be worn with a belt.

Hand paw info:
The hand paws were built with a Kloofsuit pattern. They are puffy paws including stuffed black claws, stuffed pink paw pads and are fully lined. Puffy paws are very spacious so they are built as a one size fits most!

Ladder stitching this cuties ears 💫
Can you see in the second picture why it’s called a ladder stitch? That’s because the stitch goes straight across over and over, which resembles a ladder. I always thought that was pretty neat!

Sorry for the break in posts! I am now doing fursuit work and art full time! So with that being said I will be much more active 💜 Neck was patterned and attached!

The lengthy process of patterning and attaching the neck 😤

With this being my first suit I have learned quite a few things. This being one of them! I forgot to pattern the neck when I patterned the head which in turn made it much much harder. At least now I know, for the future, the best way to go about it!

The difference lining makes on the eyes is astounding! There’s some loose fur trapped inside the eye area that I’ll have to get out once he’s done! We’re so close 🤞🏼
