A wonderful day to celebrate winter!!

-> We played pass the winter outfit-freeze game
-> We enjoyed our sensory stations as we scooped beans & oats in the snowy village, found animals hiding in the winter habitat, and broke off some super cold ice with colored salt & water to help rescue the penguins
-> We made magical winter hats that came to live with watercolors & added some handcrafted Pom poms
-> enjoyed some sweet & warm golden Mylk made by the kiddos perfect to end our Winter Time class today ❄️

Bears & Hibernation 🐻
What a cute little class today reading all about hibernating animals in our shared story time “Time to Sleep”, enjoying our family bear habitat set up, making sleeping bear crafts and a building a bear’s bed, feeding our bears and playing dress up with our family bears. We also enjoyed improvising with the book “We are Going on a Bear Hunt” and making some delicious pancake bear faces - yum 😋

Fall Leaves 🍁
What a beautiful class! The windy weather was just right with crunchy leaves blowing in the windy!
The kids enjoyed doing their fall mindful movement card game, listening to “We are going on a leaf hunt” story, enjoying our very own leaf hunt and playing with them on our parachute! Our sensory play for this week was “find the hidden leaves” sort out center, count the leaves math game, cut the leaves & make your own Fall tree & leaf rubbing art. Our big hit was our dipped apples bar station!

Squirrels Week 🐿️
Did you know that squirrel’s front teeth don’t stop growing??
Our squirrels week was so much fun!
We read and moved to our book of the week “The Busy Little Squirrel”, we played with mama & her little baby squirrels (cutest softie ever)!! Then we enjoyed a quick mindful walk around looking for acorns and were able to use them for our squirrel art piece! We played fun “Hide the acorns” sensory play, made a squirrel obstacle course and food feast that we shared with our local squirrels. We also enjoyed playing some fun board games as well as making yummy acorn dough treats!!! What a great week 🐿️

Honey Bees Week 🍯 🐝
We are back with our SENSEational Thursday classes!!!
Our first gathering was all about bees in honor of #honeyawarenessmonth
We read the “bee makes tea” book @sharepaperpie @usborne_books @usbornebooksandmoreofficial
While we sat on our flower cushions pretending to be bees.
We enjoyed some yummy homemade honey cake and honey pudding. We played with our bee hole puzzles and bee hunt board game!
We explored our bee sensory tray and bee life cycling set up.
We also made mini baby bees and there honeycomb in our arts & crafts station. We played our buzzing bee co-operative team game!
We sprinkled some pollen & added fuzzy nectar.
And finally we tested out a bee pollen experiment, tried all honey products; propolis, Royal jelly, honey sticks, raw honey, honey comb & bee pollen, whilst made a remedy concoction for the winter to come (honey, Royal jelly, garlic, thyme & bee pollen).
