Just got back from my first time in LA which was absolutely amazing! Gonna be "in the office" (aka sitting in front of my computer in a coffee shop) for the rest of the month after a wedding today. I'm excited to get photos delivered and albums ordered! Ttys! :)

Today is a big day for me. Not only is it my only day off from shooting within a three week period, but it is the day that I announce that starting 6/20 that I will be shooting corporate weddings no more than 3 days a week. Shooting weddings for a large Japanese company has taught me SO much not only about photography but about how to run a business succesfuly and I would NOT be as skilled as I am today if it wasn't for that experience. It took me years of blood sweat and tears to become so sought after under such a large company however what was once a dream has now become a hinderance toward my new goals. This is a huge step in the direction of increasing my creative space and cultivating more time and energy for my direct clients as well my friends and family. My relationships on both accounts have suffered from my lack of time and energy and I know I have let people down. I am so grateful for all of the people who have believed in me despite having to take a backseat to the demands of working for a corporation. I am so very excited for this new beginning and to see where this change will take me. This will be a big change. With gratitude, Erin

Working hard to catch up so I can get back to blogging!! It'll be rewarding to share some of the amazing weddings I've been shooting this past year. It's been such a blessing to have so many amazing clients and everyday I'm getting closer to creating a workflow that will allow me to serve even more people with higher quality images and quicker turnaround. When you see me start blogging again you'll know that goal has been achieved. :)

Congrats to Jazeena and Sebastian who had what we call a "unicorn wedding" yesterday. That's when everything is perfect; everyone looks great, the weather is beautiful, the venue is amazing, the details are killer ect... I think we can attribute it to their deep connection with the higher source. They are truly blessed.

Finally getting through the deadline crunch of busy season! I've got a few albums and photo shoots to get through before I'm pretty much caught up. I've had to change my contract to give an 8-10 week delivery for photos but I think it's much better to have a less constrictive time frame to ensure that each clients images gets the quality and attention they deserve.

I've come to realize that part of my job is to maintain a stress free environment for myself because that's the way I create best. When I have time to find inspiration and peace within myself that is reflected in my images. That lightness of heart is the most important ingredient my style which I think is what people enjoy about my photos. I hope to create that for myself so I can share it with all of you. xoxo!

So I got a prism which is what creates that mirror effect that you can see on this image from yesterday's shoot. I'm super excited to incorporate more abstract elements into my signature work. Hope you guys like it! :)
