✨Jordan & Marina ✨ even if it rains, the rainbow always comes out.

This day was so beautiful and brought on the biggest and brightest rainbow I have ever seen. Even though the rain was unexpected, everyone embraced it, danced, and had the best time. Jordan and Marina have been together for 10 years so this day was a long time in the making. Their love and comfortability around each other was so apparent. Also the love their friends and family showed them, was so clear. Thanks for trusting me on your perfect/rainy/rainbow day! 🌈

Taking photos of new friends is so fun. One thing I love about taking engagement photos or doing a save the date film, is that we get to take our time and be creative, there is no rush to get to the next portion of the day, but we get to make jokes and have fun. It really reminds me why I love creating content! Every shoot and every couple is so unique and individual. ✨🌊

A sneak peek from a beautiful country wedding, complete with a boat and a lantern. The smoke that rolled in that morning actually created a beautiful haze over all of my shots. I never thought I’d be grateful for smoke but this footage turned out 😍

• Malcolm and Shay• thank you for asking me to be a part of your day. You were the first couple to book me for 2021 and your wedding was truly beautiful. It was so full of life and fun and of course it was Cinderella themed which DUH I love. I knew this wedding would be amazing when Shay and I only talked about Disneyland for the majority of our pre wedding meet up & they basted Disney music the entire getting ready process! 🤍

I was able to do these engagement photos from some new friends this month and it was so fun. Such a different change of pace from weddings, and the lighting was everything!

I also am taking a course from of and he was telling me to integrate the creativity & edits I offer on my personal page () to this page. I don’t know why but I’ve never thought of doing that or maybe have been nervous to offer something new and different to the wedding space. But because of that push, I’m going to start adding some flare into the photos I do for fun! So here is the first rendition. It’s never too late to change things up! 👏🏻

The other day a bride told me that when we had coffee before the wedding she had no idea what I looked like. OOPS! So I grabbed the tripod and went out and got some shots today to officially introduce myself to current brides and new ones! I can’t believe I’ve taken so long to do so. But hello 👋🏻 this is my face! A few things about me.
•
1. I became fully self employed in 2018, and started creating content in 2013! So almost 10 years ago. Crazy.
2. In addition to wedding films I have a podcast, I create content for own personal brand, I work with clients to build their branding & businesses, and also work alongside my boyfriend in his production company.
3. Speaking of him! Arturo is my second shooter but taught me everything I know about film. He is a veteran in this space and we have been together for just over 9 years!
4. Neither of us have a college degree. We have learned everything from Google, YouTube & learning from others! I 100% believe you can pursue your dreams without a degree.
5. I was homeschooled my whole life, I LOVE Disney (yes I’m a Disney adult and will talk to you about your Disney honeymoon for hours), Am obsessed with Dwayne the Rock Johnson & Emma Stone, and love fashion. Especially my plaid pantsuits.
6. Most importantly, I love Jesus and am a follower of Christ. Everything I do is for Him.

So that’s it then, a long overdo introduction! Thanks to everyone who have booked with me this year and I can’t wait to meet those that will! 🤍

Sometimes you get to shoot an extra special wedding. In this case, it was family (well future family). When Arturo (my second shooter and bf) started dating almost a decade ago (🥲😮💨) his brother Ruben was still in high school, after that he joined the marines. So for a few years out of our relationship, he was gone serving the country. Once he came home I had the privilege of getting to know him better, and then shortly after I was able to get to know his now wife Kierstyn. What a joy it has been! Coming from a small family, seeing Arturo’s family expanding was so much fun. Now with a little girl, their family is expanding even more! So looking back on this summer wedding is everything. ✨

We were able to document their small elopement in Southern Oregon and then head to the coast with them. This unique video was so much fun to make & it truly showcases some of the prettiest parts of Oregon!

Nothing beats an Oregon coast lighting situation. ✨ I love a separate day to do content. If you are getting married and don’t want to spend your whole wedding day doing photos. Consider having a first look and all bride and groom photos shot the day before or even the week before the wedding! This will allow a ton of extra time to spend with guests and having fun on your actual wedding!

It’s also a really good excuse to get 2 dresses so he’s surprised on the day of 😏🤭

Documenting weddings is about so much more than taking a good photo or getting the perfect lighting. It’s about capturing the couple and their INDIVIDUAL unique story. A lot of people ask me how I edit films or why I take certain shots and it truly is because I’m thinking of who the couple is with every shot. It’s easy to open with a shot of the rings, or the venue, or whatever else is pretty, but instead I ask myself “why?”. Why am I documenting these moments and how do the shots represent the couple’s story. I always ask my brides how they view their relationship. Is it fun, Romantic, serious, cinematic? Once I know that I can apply that to every shot taken. So if you are a bride looking for documentation, look for someone to tell your love story and depict that in a film! If you are photographer/videographer, constantly ask yourself why you are getting the shots you are. How do they play a role in your couples story? Once you do that, you’ll have so much success in your content. 🎞

One of my favorite things about weddings is how different they all are. This beautiful bride and her family are from Brazil, and were speaking in Portuguese during the majority of the event. They had a translator at their ceremony so her family could fully be a part of their special moments, which was amazing. It was so cool to be a part of and to see the different cultures and customs! It really opens up my perspective and I really appreciate the beauty at each and every wedding. Such a stunning bride and beautiful family! ✨

And just like that, one of my favorite films from 2021. Maybe it was the Portland rain and cloudy skies, the beautiful venue, or the interviews from this couple. It was one of the last weddings I filmed last year, and it was truly a pleasure. One of my favorite moments of the day was the rain sprinkling on us as we were doing portrait photos, and how no one seemed to care! This elopement film was a special request by the bride and groom. They wanted their wedding day to feel more like a music video. So of course Arturo and I obliged! This was a very unique and beautiful experience with a ceremony on the edge of a cliff side, and an intimate reception with just a few family and friends. Cody & Cierra Luth 🤍 • This day was literally the perfect weather, if you know me, you know that weather is HUGE for me. It was one of those rare summer days that was not too hot, not too cold, had some wind but not too much, and everything just flowed so smoothly. Not only did we get to travel to a beautiful spot in Salem, Oregon but we got to experience such a special day between these two. They had been together for over 7 years and met in high school. A legit high school romance that ended in a marriage 🥺 their vows were sweet, genuine and heartfelt, and I could tell they were best friends wanting to do life together.
