Something you may not know is that candles should not be lit while you have balloons in the house! But not for the reason you may think. When you have a candle burning in the same room that your balloons are set up in, the candle will produce an ash that will settle on your balloons! This then creates an ashy film that will cover your balloons and make them look like they have spots! ⁠

Sometimes it is subtle, sometimes it is very obvious that something is weird about your balloons. So it is imperative that if you have balloons delivered or installed in your home for a party or event, that you DO NOT burn a candle until after the event has taken place! The more you know! Did you know that Sunny Day only uses latex made from natural rubber trees? This means that these balloons are biodegradable and will break down easier over time than those Amazon balloons! The process of taking rubber from rubber trees does not require the tree to be cut down and actually does not harm the tree! Some brands that Sunny Day uses are even made right here in the USA, including Tuftex balloons! ⁠

FAQ's!! I get so many questions about balloons, that I thought I would answer my most commonly asked questions here! ⁠

1. How long do balloons last?⁠
⁠
Air-filled balloons can last MONTHS!! You read that right, MONTHS and still look fabulous. Helium-filled balloons have a float time of 10-18 hours and that’s about it. ⁠
⁠
2. What is the difference between air-filled and helium-filled balloons?⁠
⁠
Helium-filled balloons will float, air-filled won’t! That’s all there is to it really. ⁠
⁠
3. What is the difference between a garland and an arch?⁠
⁠
An arch is freestanding supported by a structure provided by your balloon decorator while a garland is just balloons that need to be supported by another structure hung to something!

I had never been to the indoor football practice facility, so boy was I impressed when I was able to go inside and do balloons for the Ladies Night Out hosted by !!⁠

A rental you may not know that we have...two arched metal frames that stand at 6.5 feet tall each. ⁠
⁠
These are awesome because they are lightweight and can be easily moved from one place to another. They have a thinner frame, so do not make as much of a statement if you want the main focus to be the balloons! Balloons can be woven around the edge of the frame, cut across the middle, or you can just have florals on them! ⁠
⁠
These are a fun, different alternative to wooden Chiara backdrops, and while they can not be personalized with vinyl like the wooden Chiaras, they are great for putting balloons or florals on!⁠

Balloons can really befuddle people. They seem fragile and one wouldn't expect them to endure for very long after being inflated. The opposite, however, could not be more true in specific cases!⁠
⁠
When latex balloons are outside in the cold, they will slightly shrink and look droopy. When latex balloons are outside in the heat, they expand and risk popping. When they are in the heat they also go through a process called oxidation and take on a velvety-matte look to the surface of the balloon. So outside, balloons will last approximately 1-2 days, even less the hotter the temperature is. ⁠
⁠
When balloons are inside it is a totally different story. When inside, air-filled balloons will last weeks, even months. The closer to room temperature, 60-70 degrees, the better and the longer the balloons will last. Then inside, balloons do not go through oxidation so they will look brand new for even longer. ⁠
⁠
I have had balloons last literally over three months in my living room!! How crazy is that??⁠
⁠
