Did you know the leaves of a broccoli plant are edible? We are harvesting the last of the broccoli and I added some of the gorgeous leaves to a smoked turkey sausage pasta with beans. A sprinkle of pecorino brightens up the whole dish!

Continuing our Lenten devotion to not buying meat but rather using up the little we have in the freezer we employed our last 5 pepperoni slices to decorate a homemade grilled zucchini pizza with roasted mushrooms and pesto. These guys, too, will not go to waste!
