With the holidays upon us, comes an uptick in “looking for a ride” posts. We’re sharing this so everyone can make an educated decision.

Many private drivers fail to become properly insured (it’s expensive - trust us, we get it!), but this isn’t like hiring an uninsured painter. This risk involves your life.

Do your due diligence and ask the question, “do you have livery insurance”, then decide from there.

Have a safe and happy holiday season!!

See those cute little letters stacked on the left? THOSE indicate livery plates!

Livery plates are how you know someone has livery insurance.

Livery insurance is what is required by law to drive passengers for money.

Charging someone for a ride without livery insurance will void the vehicle’s regular insurance should god forbid anything happen.

And if you happen to recommend someone without livery insurance and something happens, technically you could be held liable for those non-covered medical expenses.

Be smart, ya’ll!
