It saddens me to see all the posts of couples SCRAMBLING to find a last minute vendor because the ones they’ve booked have ghosted them!! 😭

It is so important to vet your vendors!! Check to ensure they have a contract, LLC and insurance at the very LEAST! Otherwise you could be out thousands of dollars and scrambling to find a last minute vendor!! We’re booked a year out and it kills me when we can’t help these couples!

So please let this be your sign to make sure your vendors have all these things to cover your basis! LLC’s can be found on the Idaho Secretary of State website! It’s public record! So be sure to check 🫶💜

If you’re a vendor not offering these items, definitely do your research on the importance of all these things! They also protect you and your assets. If you don’t have all these things in place your personal assets could be at risk while doing business! Always better to dot your I’s and cross your T’s.🥺💜

Our final wedding of the season was a dreamy backyard wedding on the river in Eagle. 💗

We transformed the entire backyard into a wedding venue fit for 100 people. An absolutely GORGEOUS October day for a wedding!

Do I really need a wedding planner?😬

Often times this is an area people try to save money in. However, if you want your day to run smoothly with minimal hiccups and WAY less stress, than the answer is YES!👍🏻

Couples often don’t realize how much a coordinator is doing for you on your wedding day. Instead of your family rushing to set up before they need to shower and get ready and be back for pictures, they’re able to sit back and enjoy the process and day.

There’s so many things I ask my couples when they’re debating if they need a coordinator. 😜

Here’s some questions I ask:
1. Who’s going to set up and tear down? Haul all the decor to and from the venue?

2. Who’s tending to the cake table when your cupcakes need restocked or plates need refilled?

3. Who’s in charge of letting the DJ know when to switch the music for the bride walking down the aisle?

4. Who’s running to the gas station when the ice is gone or water runs out?

5. Who’s welcoming each vendor and showing them where to set up while you’re taking pictures and getting ready?

6. Are you creating the timeline and do you know the right flow of items to help make the night run smoothly?

7. Who’s handling any altercations that could occur?

8. If your venue isn’t emptying trash cans who are you designating that too during the reception?

9. Who’s running to grab the rings when you forget to grab them right before you walk down the aisle?

10. Finally who’s keeping you sane during the planning process?

The list goes on and on of all the things a good wedding coordinator or planner does during your wedding, completely behind the scenes. Now ask yourself, would you really want a parent, friend or family member to handle ALL that and MUCH MORE instead of enjoying your day with you? 🤔

That’s why I highly recommend NOT cutting a planner out of the budget! They’re 100% worth it! 💗

Henley asked me if I could make their wedding sign (mirror) and it turned out AMAZING!! Brides, I’m always down for a little DIY project! 😏

I’ve made so many fun signs, co****le board sets, toasting glasses, bridal robes, you name it!!

There are so many FUN ways to incorporate the littles in your wedding day! 👦🏻👧🏻

Whether you want your kids, nieces, nephews, friends kids, etc. they’re so many ways to include them!

Of course, there’s the traditional ring bearer and flower girls.

OR get creative!

🚔 Ring Securtiy (make them feel REAL important)

👗 Junior Bridesmaids or Groomsmen

🤵🏼‍♀️🤵🏻Ushers

🎶 Have them perform or play an instrument

These are just a FEW creative ways I’ve seen kids be included in the couples special day! Traditional or not, kids are just THRILLED to be included and have job! 💗

Let’s chat about first looks!!👀💍

Is this something I recommend doing?!🤔

My answer is YES!! But why?🤔

Not only does it provide the most intimate moment for the couple, allowing them to soak up every moment of the day they’ve worked so hard to get to, but also it helps tremendously with the timeline of the day! ⏳

By doing a first look you’re able to knock out all your bridal party photos, family photos and get GREAT couple shots without feeling rushed or taking away a big block of time while your guests are there to celebrate you! 💗

However, there is always something so special about seeing your partner at the alter and that’s a great traditional route too! I’ll never tell a couple no to what they want to do for THEIR wedding, but I do let them know that photos will eat up a big portion of their reception.

If you’ve been going back & forth on whether or not to do a first look, I recommend HIGHLY considering it! 💒

P.S. I’m still having withdraws from the Ramirez wedding😭💗

Let’s talk vows! 💍

When is a good time to do them? Do I have to say my vows in front of everyone? How long should they be? 🤷🏼‍♀️

These are questions we get ALL the time! The truth is vows can be done in so many ways! You can stick to the traditional, well scripted vows, write and share your own personal vows at your ceremony for all to hear, or you can choose to do a more intimate vow exchange at your first look.

There is no wrong, or right way of doing YOUR vows. Some couples want it to be intimate between just them. While others want to say their vows in front of all their loved ones!

Choosing what feels right for your relationship is something you and your partner should discuss. It shouldn’t be chosen based off family members seeking to hear them too. It should be based on what feels right for YOU!

They can be as little as a few sentences to a minutes long. Take time to write them and think through what your life promise to your partner looks like. Don’t wait till the last minute to write them! 💗💍

Why are we different than other wedding planners in the valley? 🤔

1. We do this together as a couple, that means you’re getting two people who work well together, know each other and are involved the ENTIRE time together.

2. We do this on the side of our full time jobs so we don’t book a wedding for every weekend! We prioritize the couples we have booked and ensure we don’t stretch ourselves too thin! There’s enough of us to go around that way!

3. You can ask any of our couples who have worked with us before or are currently working with us… we always respond! Our communication is something we pride ourselves in! If you have a question or concern you know you can count on us. We don’t set just typical business hours!

4. We work with you! Need payments broken up a certain way, not good at budgeting and need us to help, you got it!

5. I have a marketing degree and Carter has a business administration & entrepreneurial degree with a minor in marketing. We understand the business side of things from a professional level. We do things right from paying taxes, insurance, contracts, etc. Theres no cutting corners!

6. WE’RE LOCAL! Both of us were raised in Idaho all our lives and with both our personal and professional backgrounds we know a lot about the local vendors, venues, weather and more!🌲

Let’s talk about what do with your wedding dress AFTER the big day has come and gone. 👰🏼‍♀️

This is often something that brides forget to budget into their costs. If you want your dress cleaned and preserved to be useable down the road, then this is something you will 100% want to do! is the place to go!

If you plan on having a spray tan, taking photos outside, and dancing the night away, your dress will get dirty and will have some stains. Wedding dresses are typically a large investment and you’ll want them to be as good as new after the big day. Checkout the before and after results!😵‍💫

-FIRST LOOK WITH THE FATHER OF THE BRIDE-

Do I recommend?!👨‍👧

ABSOLUTELY! For many fathers, their little girl getting married is an emotional experience to say the least. Doing a first look allows both the father and the bride an intimate moment together with just the two of them and allows for the nerves to settle before walking down the aisle.

Not only that, but the pictures that come out of a first look speak for themselves. They’ll be something you cherish for a life time!

Ask your photographer and wedding planner to work it into your day of schedule! You won’t regret it! 💗

-THE DRESS-

How long in advance should I start shopping for my dress?🤔

Bridal stores LOVE to see you 1 year to 9 months before your wedding IF possible! 👰🏼‍♀️

WHY?

✈️ Shipping typically takes a few months, specially if it’s created by a designer over seas.

👗Alterations can also take 1-2 months depending on the seamstress and the amount of alterations you need done. (I recommend booking before your dress even arrives, as seamstresses in the valley can be MONTHS out)

⏱️You don’t want to be stressing about one of the biggest parts of your big day! It’s best to give PLENTY of time before the wedding in case things take longer than expected.

How long do I need to plan a wedding?💍

Although this answer varies, it’s best to leave as much time as possible! I typically recommend 1 year to 9 months prior to the date you’re hoping for. BUT the SOONER the BETTER! It’s never too early to start! 💒

🗓️ You want first selection of the best vendors/venues out there, vendors book QUICK
📝 Allows you time to plan without the stress of a tight deadline
🛍️You can shop the deals for decor and other wedding related items, Black Friday and Prime Day are great days to shop on a budget!!
✈️ Your guests have time to plan and make travel arrangements
💵 Your able to pay over a longer period of time allowing you to spread out your wedding spending.
