In honor of Valentine’s Day I would like celebrate the couples who trusted me as their wedding officiant over the last few years. In 2021, I responded to a tweet from a childhood friend asking if anyone would officiate her wedding. I became ordained (sponsored by the Universal Church of Life) and The Only Officiant was born.

I’m honored to share I’ve facilitated 11 weddings. 💒

The best part of my matrimonial hobby is standing 6 inches from people who are SO ecstatic they’re literally bursting with energy and emotion. It doesn’t matter what your belief system is, it’s a sacred moment.

I mostly officiate weddings for couples I know so I usually have some background on their relationships. Watching their love stories come to realization in a beautiful setting, with all their closest people, at my cadence is a breathtaking experience. I don’t want to get too sappy here but love IS real and I feel it every time I officiate.

It obviously also exists outside of wedding ceremonies in different ways but it all boils down to the be the same thing.

It’s not confined to couples - it’s shared with other people, animals, art, fitness, business, nature etc.
