The importance of the ceremony is always a focal point of Catholic Weddings. I have seen way too many people put zero thought into their ceremony. Now, don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with “short and sweet”. But sometimes the ceremony can get pushed aside during planning. However, it’s the most important part. Without it, you wouldn’t be married. It is the most sacred part of your big day! If you are a bride and planning your wedding. Sit down with your fiancé and discuss ways to make your ceremony intentional, Intimate, unique to both of you and sacred.

There isn’t much in this world that makes me more emotional than hearing an old hymn sung by familiar voices. A timely one that comes to mind has this melody “We Are Standing on Holy Ground”.

I’m sure most of my local followers have heard about the fire in my home town near Abilene, Texas. A friend and fellow wedding vendor suffered extreme loss due to this fire. Her home is gone. Surrounded by smoke and burned acreage of land, the main barn/ venue somehow was left standing.

I ran into a bride’s mom today who’s daughter is getting married at Sabrina Cedars next year. Our conversation immediately went to their venue. When they heard the news that the barn was okay - her mom asked the soon to be bride what she was thinking about her own wedding coming up. She said “Mom, this is Holy Ground. I’m getting married there.”

Looking at the photos I have seen, It’s hard to believe anything different than that. The years and years of marriage covenants dedicated to the Lord in that very spot is Holy Ground indeed. Sabrina Cedars

It really is amazing how you can make a venue fit your style. I do a lot of “ranch style, farmhouse, rustic” weddings. I mean, we live in Texas 🤷‍♀️. However, I do have brides every season that are looking something that “Abilene just doesn’t have”. I realize that most venues (if not all venues) in Abilene have rustic accents so that can make it hard to visualize your big day.

I think we executed exactly what this bride was wanting. Simple, elegant, modern, and formal. You would never believe that this venue has two sets of large barn doors because we made her venue for HER style. It’s such a beautiful space that can fit any style .

Today is my 29th birthday. This morning, as I drink my Honey Latte from , I am reflecting over these past few years. I have SO much to be grateful for. How many people can honestly say that before they turn 30 - they have their DREAM JOB?!?! It's not anything that I have done - it is 100% from God. In His divine grace He has granted me the ability to walk boldly in my giftings. It has not always been that way. I pushed this opportunity away for years. I was scared, I did not think I could do it, and I did not think my business could be successful. To be honest, I did not think that I was actually talented. What a FREAKING LIE - God gave me this ability after all. What a terrible belief to think that what He created (me) wasn't beautifully talented? Can I just take a moment to say that Jesus wants you to believe Him. He wants amazing things for you, and He wants you to walk in the giftings He has given you. He has giving you unique skills and abilities. Step out in faith, step out in your calling, and DO WHAT HE CREATED YOU TO DO!
