It is with the heaviest of hearts that I share with you the news of my husband’s passing.
Eric was a man with a natural charisma. His ability to befriend a stranger and bring people of all different walks of life together is something that never went unnoticed. He spoke to people with an open heart and a cheeky smile. Whenever you needed Eric, he would go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure you were not only comfortable, but also happy.
He was passionate, caring, empathetic, sarcastic, silly, funny, and so smart. He was a Viking, metal head, political and social activist, and language aficionado. He was a neighbor, friend, uncle, brother, son, husband, and father.
He was my best friend and lover for 12 years. He was my teammate, protector, and comfort. And even with more than a decade under our belts, I will never feel like our time together was enough. I cherish every laugh, joke, walk, dance, cuddle, hug, kiss, and memory we had together. Family time with you, Josie, and Ami in our little house will always be my favorite. I wish we could’ve share more together.
Eric, I hold you in my heart forever. You gave me the best of you and left me with a little girl who is all of you. I promise to teach Amalína all about the things you love. I promise to show her photos and videos of you. And I promise to tell her all about what a great man her daddy was.
I know I’ll see you again. I’m going to live a long life, so wait for me, my love. We’ll be together in the end. I love you for eternity.
Thank you to everyone who supported my family through prayer and donation up till now. If you are able, we are collecting for funeral expenses. The link is in our bio. Your kindness truly means the world. Amalína, Josie, and I are forever grateful.
Eric, the world isn’t the same without you in it. We love you. Rest well, baby.
