What’s been happening in Ukraine in the last few days has shaken the entire world to the core. The idea that in the 21st century, Europe can be witnessing the horrors of war seems inconceivable. Yet, the Ukrainian people are now living with them.

Some of you may not know this but a member of the Kashu family - our animator Sasha - is based in Ukraine. He's in our thoughts and we hope that he and his family stay safe.

Deeply affected by the suffering of our Ukrainian brothers and sisters, we want to express our solidarity. We are also sympathetic towards the innocent people in Russia who oppose this monstrosity. We sincerely hope that peace is restored soon.

The lesson we learned in this challenging year is that together we are strong against all odds. So in the season of gift-giving and spending time with our loved ones, we shouldn't forget the less fortunate.

One of the most widely used arguments against working with a freelancer or a company abroad is the time difference. A lot of people are concerned that this can negatively affect deadlines, or that they won’t be able to reach the person responsible for their project in case of a midnight emergency. But most companies that work with international clients are used to adapting to their time zone and are comfortable working on a flexible schedule. Most freelancers know that they might have to pull the occasional all-nighter to keep due dates.

Still, it might be a good idea to reach an agreement on several things from the get-go. For instance, set up the most convenient time for both sides to communicate on a regular basis, and discuss how will the time difference change the deadline. Essentially, establishing ground rules from the start will save you a lot of headaches in the future.
