Black History Month Cookie Sale

I love being Black. I don’t think I have ever actually felt disparaged by my skin color or ethnicity, though some have tried to make it so. Contrary I did used to wish for darker skin 😍 and thicker hair.
⠀
I love the fullness of my 👄 . I love the broadness of my 👃🏿. Those are family traits. I love how so many of us in the culture have had similar life experiences. I love how even though AAVE (African American Vernacular English) is tailored to the specifications of immediate area, yet simultaneously accessible to the rest of us through context clues, body language, and those shared life experiences. I love our hair. My goodness is it a wonder. While 2 Afro puffs with hair bows are my preferred aesthetic, twist/ braid outs, Bantu knots, wash & go’s, finger waves, silk press, cornrows, locs- they all make me swoon. And the list just goes on and on…

So y’all. I might be a super hero for real. So we wanted fish a grits for dinner. Salmon to be exact. I get all hype after making SOOOOOOOO MUCH HOT COCOA MIX (coming soon), only to find that I have less that one cup of grits left.
