How are we already here? My little girl is starting her senior year, and my baby is going into her last year of elementary school!

Meanwhile, I did not get a 1st day pic of my sophomore…she was running too late on that first day to snap a pic. But she did have fun with her pops and cousin at the Journey/Def Leppard concert last week!

Happy 70th Birthday to my awesome DAD! 🥳

I doubt there are too many dads are out there helping their daughters with their crazy party decorating ideas…blowing up balloons, figuring out how to engineer backdrops and dropped ceilings and sleepover A-frame tents, cutting random things out of wood, hanging party lights and balloons and floating candles…

I remember the first big party idea I had (about 13 years ago), he was right there with me, not thinking my idea was crazy, helping me build these big, wooden circus cut-outs to put around my backyard.

Thanks, Dad, for always believing in me. Love you!

The Very Hungry Two Year Old birthday party this weekend was soooo fun to design!

Bringing this classic board book to a party theme was so much fun for me, and I really loved how each little custom detail turned out. I wish I would have gotten a pic of the birthday boy dragging the 3-foot caterpillar balloon like it was his new bestie out of the building when the party was over. It was the cutest!

Might be one of my top favorite themes! 😆😁

On our way for a full day of party fun! We’re helping set up decorations for a big church youth dance up in !

I’ll be teaching some of the youth committee members and leaders all about the art of backdrops, party styling, and all things balloons. With four different LARGE backdrops to decorate the church gym and provide plenty of selfie ops, we’ll have a very full day blowing up TONS of balloons (probably close to 2000, I’m guessing) and building 4 differently styled backdrops to represent 4 different iconic decades!

I got to help with a super cute this morning…SO MANY balloons, so little time! 😂

With two big displays and 6 topiaries to put together in just a few hours, it was all about efficiency and working as quickly as we could!

But we got it done, and I think it turned out pretty good!

I was looking through some of my recent photos, and I thought I’d share this one of my crew! One of our little family traditions is to have Christmas crackers on the table. I can’t remember when we actually started this tradition, but I love it.

Everyone gets one (I know that’s not THE traditional way to do it, but it’s OUR traditional way we do it), and then we all wear our silly paper crowns, tell the silly jokes that come with them, and fiddle with the silly little toys and gadgets while we start dinner.

And then we pause for a quick pic on the stairs with the crowns on, and then continue on with the rest of dinner.

Why do we do this each year? I don’t know, but I love it!

What family traditions do you have that - even if they’re a little silly - you love to do every year??

One more pic of Friday’s Red and Gold themed photo backdrop!

So what does it take to create something like this? About 6 1/2 hours of install time, 70 shimmer wall panels, and roughly 600 balloons of various sizes.

The shimmer wall is always a knockout, but I really love how all the different reds and different shapes and textures all came together to make this balloon installation really stand out. But I think the little gold pearl garland is still my favorite part of this one. I knew it wasn’t going be complete without that finishing touch! 😂

I got to practice some this last week in the MOST BEAUTIFUL of places!

Sailing on Sail Cat Seven in the was by far one of my favorite things I’ve experienced. The boat was gorgeous. The weather was perfect. The crew was amazing. It was an unforgettable week of picturesque vistas, delicious food, and fun excursions with some of the best people!

Today is the first Thursday of November, which means it’s the first of the month…and today I am thankful that I am able to come out to Utah to visit my sister and her new baby boy! I am also thankful to be able to see my other sister who also lives out here tomorrow. Family is truly a blessing, and it’s great when I get to see mine!

Quick trip to visit my nephew in this weekend. We had a great weekend brunch at in Midtown. Check out these A-MAZING we enjoyed. Not familiar with a Croffle? Neither was I! They are delicious buttery croissants pressed in a waffle iron and topped with cream, fruit, and syrup…and they were soooo yummy!

I am super happy with how this shimmery, golden disco balloon backdrop turned out this weekend. It took several hours and SEVERAL HUNDRED balloons to create the full look of this wall, but I think it was worth it!

And it made a huge statement as it was pretty much the first thing you saw as you walked through the door!

October is just around the bend, so we’re getting things prepped and ready for a spooktacular Halloween birthday party. I have SO. MANY. IDEAS. Can’t wait to get started! Meanwhile…these guys have been riding around in my trunk for a few days now. It does get a little awkward when I go grocery shopping and forget that my trunk is full of skeletons when the bagger helps take my groceries to my car. 😂
