Happy New Year!
2024 was a year of slowing down.
I honestly wasn’t sure if I’d continue doing weddings/events. We moved to Alabama in Spring of 2023 (a lot sooner than planned). I spent the last year getting acquainted with the area,etc.
I only had one wedding planned in April 2024, in Charleston, they had signed to work with me in Fall of 2022. It was an absolute beautiful day!
If it wasn’t for having that wedding, I probably would have closed MTE. After taking 2023 “off” b/c of moving and dealing with some personal matters into early 2024; after Josh and Katie’s wedding I met some vendors locally in AL and decided to get my local business license in May.
I still took things slow the rest of 2024, thinking of what else I can provide with my wedding coordinating / planning services. I made many trips home to see family, vacay that was much needed for many years with the sisters and kids, and so much more.
I’m excited to see what happens with Marie Taylor Events in AL. I’m open to traveling, if you know anyone needing wedding/events planning or coordination services.
