All wreaths are handmade by yours truly and will be delivered this Friday, December 3rd!

Cosmos are one of my favorite flowers because of their simplicity - like that friend you have that is effortlessly beautiful and completely clueless to the fact. Making her that much more so.

I felt this an appropriate farewell to warm weather [we hope]. As well as appreciation post #2. Locally grown blooms take floral design to the next level and make that part of my job that much more amazing 🤍

Having college friends building creative career dreams while navigating raising a family and making a home is a gift. And the fact that they started a *flower* farm is all the better. In what I call my big small hometown of Ruston, we went to precisely one bazillion weddings growing up (very likely where the deep love began!). We never left before the cake was cut because almond extract runs through the veins of the women in my family. And though it's REAL HARD not to go home with a slice (any florists relate?!), the cake is still one of my favorite parts of wedding design 🤍

Maybe this post will WILL some true fall weather to South Louisiana. Especially since this was the world's most perfect fall day filled with the most perfect fall colors.

If the weather and location weren't fabulous enough, we got to less-than-discretely watch a proposal which took place not far from our set up. And if you know me, that makes my cheesey and romantic heart S I N G. Bring on all the flowers and big feelings. [And cool fronts? 🤞🏼🤞🏾]]

Hurricane Ida + evacuation traffic + flowers shortages couldn't stop me from seeing Bride Whitney's garden wedding dreams to fruition. There are fewer things that make me happier than a more-than-satisfied bride and family.

What did I say when the proud FOB asked if he could give me a hug after set up was done? ABSOLUTELY.

As I was placing the cake flowers for last weekend's pre-Ida wedding, the photographer asked what these perfectly taupe blooms were and made the comment that, after two decades of wedding photography, he had never seen anything like them.

Immediately I thought [and I think sort of also blurted out?] - that's exactly what I want for Meagan Jenkins Flowers! No two brides are alike, so no two weddings should be alike. I aim to deliver bespoke [fully custom] florals for each and every bride. Even if it means hunting down the perfect pinky taupe bloom to fullfill Bride Whitney's muted, romantic, garden wedding dreams 🤍

I'm taking a little social media break while we continue to get settled in our new home and whilr my littles are out of school. As you can see -> my spirited number three requires my full attention at times 😆

This day, four years ago 🤍 And today is her last day of Kindergarten! My pregnant self had to call her daddy to climb a *very* tall ladder so I could complete an install. With the prettiest peach peonies you ever did see!

Kids or not, I know everyone likely relates to the life + work juggle. Especially during busy event seasons! You're never alone, friends 🤍

I'm spending this rainy naptime prepping for both Mother's Day blooms (coming soon!) and a bridal consultation later this week.

There are few things I love more than taking a bride's dreams and making them a more beautiful reality than they could have imagined. Happy bridal families and seeing all the details come together make all the hard work worth it. I think Bride Robyn's mother and I happy cried together twice on the wedding day?

It could have been three times.

Meagan Jenkins Flowers is taking a slight turn, not towards a new location but straight back to my roots. I have loved weddings and events for as long as I can remember. Because of growing up in what I call a "big small town," I went to countless weddings. I doodled wedding dresses in junior high and decorated for high school dances. After college, I left behind all degree-centric plans and ran straight towards wedding florals. My time designing for was a dream realized, and I am so excited to bring those many years of experience back to my home state.

Because this business started sooner than expected (for good relief effort reasons!), you're getting to see how all of this shakes out. Even though I have loved being a part of so many daily celebrations since I've launched Meagan Jenkins Flowers, it's undeniable that my passion is designing customized, refined, and garden-style florals for weddings and events. And now that we're half a year in, it's funny to think that I would have ever thought to pour the majority of my time and creativity into anything else. Thanks to a new studio space, I am thrilled to say that that's exactly where my focus will be and, of course, some pretty holiday offerings mixed in. I am so thankful for the excitement from the start, for the steady orders and the ability to be a part of your celebrations, and for the opportunity to refocus and make some beautiful events in the near future 🤍

Happy spring! This time of year always brings back the happiest memories of Katherine + Hayes' perfect spring wedding day with the perfect spring blooms. On the day of the wedding, I even cut a few garden roses out of her soon-to-be mother-in-law's garden and tucked them in her bouquet 🤍
