“Humbletown is a folk/bluegrass band featuring Morgan Carnes on clawhammer banjo, Dylan Lewis on flatpick guitar and mandolin, Ben Lemay on fiddle, and James Schrag on upright bass. Humbletown primarily writes their own songs in eclectic styles but also plays traditional songs, fiddle tunes, and folk and country covers. The band prides itself on unique harmonies and vibrant traditional and improvisational instrumentals.

They have shared the stage with The Lowest Pair, Damn Tall Buildings, Trout Steak Revival, Woodbelly, Charlie Parr, Jalan Crossland, John Craigie, and many more. They have performed at several festivals across the midwest and won the 2018 South Dakota Folk Off contest. The band brings an energetic and dynamic performance, featuring awe-inspiring instrumentalists and vocal harmonies.“

Nestled deep into North Dakota, just beyond Anamoose, you'll find that live music and art is alive and well. Prairie Pothole is a small-but-growing festival that works hard on highlighting artists big and small.

Festival favorites!

Festival favorites!

These three have become a huge part of not only Prairie Pothole community but their local community as well. They absolutely crushed it this past weekend at the Spring Throwdown 2.0, always a crowd favorite! If you haven’t had the chance to see them yet, you are in for a treat!

“Americonscious Campfire Folk Music: That’s what we call it! MoonCats started in 2018 in Pick City, North Dakota bringing the campfire to the stage. After countless shows and several tours across the country, this tuned-in trio prides itself on sing-along originals and the occasional cover. Slinger, Danny, and Sky paint a picture of the plains and sing of the times, blending new and old-time music on banjo, washboard, upright bass, mandolin, guitar, harmonica, and more.

MoonCats have released Self Titled “MoonCats” (2018) and “Hot Tea (2021). Both albums were self-produced in North Dakota, and they were both mastered by Tyler Pilot (Red Dot Recording, Mandan, North Dakota). Exploring a mix of songwriting and instrumentation, MoonCats are exciting for all audiences with every song! Visit their website www.MoonCatsMusic.com for more.”

Be on the lookout for our gate sign!

“Reverend's Roadshow and High Speidelity have been up to music and festival related shenanigans for nearly 20 years.

Drawing from a deep catalogue of hits spanning numerous genres, the two's long-lasting friendship has spawned a casual approach to the stage with plenty of witty banter and counter-heckling. They're like Jack Black and Kyle Gass but without the Pick of Destiny. Like Key and Peele but without the sketch show. Like Batman and Superman but without the tights. You know, radical.

Get to the festival early to catch them open up the party with their distinct style. So put your boots on, buds, because these champions are going to bring everything from originals to classic rock to sarcastic country and maybe even a hiphop medley or two.”

“Chuck Hues, Artguy has been an active member of the live paint arts/music scene in the Midwest for 20 years. The Cohesion Experience this year is all about what true beauty working together and collaborating can bring. ❤️❤️

One of the biggest collaborations we will be blessed with this year is the main Upland Stage mural! Many Visions is sponsoring the mural for their 10 year anniversary, choosing all of their favorite mural artists to work together In creating some magic with this giant space. This will be the biggest mural on a stage in North Dakota!

In collaboration to create this incredible mural will be Apex Collective’s Jake Amason and Stephen Kruse along with Chris Bohlin and Seth McMahon! We cannot wait to see what our stage becomes by the end of the weekend!

“Laney Lou and the Bird Dogs are an energetic Americana band from Bozeman, Montana, that infuses four-part harmonies, engaging songwriting, and rock-n-roll drive into a modern approach to traditional folk music. Coming from varied musical backgrounds, the five-person ensemble creates a sound unique to them, but one that appeals to audiences of all ages. The Bird Dogs weave stories through their songs that are reflective, joyous, longing, or meant to share a journey with the listener. Through it all, the band is able to convey heartfelt honesty, getting the audience to immerse themselves in the moment by dancing, singing and laughing along.

Laney Lou and the Bird Dogs have been touring full-time for seven years, playing notable festivals such as Bourbon and Beyond, Under the Big Sky, Grand Targhee Bluegrass, Blue Ox, and Red Ants Pants. They have received attention from media outlets such as Saving Country Music, who listed the Bird Dogs in the top 16 performances of 2021, alongside the company of musicians such as Tyler Childers, Billy Strings, Sierra Ferrell and Dwight Yoakam. They were featured on the Emmy award-winning television series 11th and Grant, and had their original song "Lonely Tracks" featured in a documentary called My Country No More, which aired on PBS Independent Lens. The Bird Dogs seem to pick up fans wherever they go, and they are beginning to spread to all four corners of the US.

Laney Lou and the Bird Dogs consists of Lena (Laney) Schiffer on vocals/guitar, Matt Demarais on vocals/banjo, Ethan Demarais on bass, Brian Kassay on vocals/fiddle, and Josh Moore on vocals/guitar.”
