Our daughter wanted to take pictures of the mailboxes with her instax camera tonight. Ran into a nice lady returning a book. Today our middle son told us some of his classmates thanked him for having the mailbox. It’s awesome to hear about all the magic experienced around our mailbox.

**Thank you for an amazing 2024 season**
This year we were lucky to deliver 584 letters to kids all over the country. But the overwhelming majority of them were right here in our area. Since our start in 2020 we’ve mailed 1,985 letters! For the first 3 years we wrote stamped and sealed every letter. With (2) believers still in our house that required us to work most nights from 9-11pm. Last season we had help from a few friends. In mid-October Mrs. Parsons was in a car accident with our daughter that resulted in a concussion, time out of work, therapy and recovery (that is still ongoing). We knew that we could not keep up with demand on our own. Enter our friend group which we call The Hot Mess express. Made up of friends connected by scouts, sports, the neighborhood and held together by books, wine, whisky and ci**rs. They have been an amazing part of our season, our lives and Amy’s recovery. The Wanner, Conley, Forry, Reed, Hinsey and Savitski families are true elves!

We also need to recognize all of our generous friends who donate towards our efforts. Donating envelopes, stamps, paper, pens, books, etc. that keep us going. Since the beginning we have not needed to put much money into this endeavor, only time. We don’t even know who to thank as regularly things just appear at the mailbox or in the mail. You are all really kind and deserving of the nice list.

To everyone who dropped off your letters, THANK YOU. You entrusted us with your child’s wishes. We don’t overlook how important a “job” we have. There are lots of normal wishes, the latest toys or trendy clothing, technology, etc. We also get asked things like to say hello to a grandparent who passed away this year or to help their parents not argue anymore. We also get letters from parents; some thank us for extending the magic to another season. Some just need to talk about their struggles. The holidays can be a rough time for everyone. Were not miracle workers or therapists we’re just trying our best to bring a little more magic each season.

Merry Christmas to all!
Amazingly this year we saw 584 letters and everyone was on the nice list!
We hope you all enjoy a great day with your family and friends. A proper thank you post is coming soon. The mailbox and library are still up and we will still respond to any letters. Some people like to send Thank you letters to Santa.
