Our Story
The Big Blue Boogie Machine has been a family-owned and operated business, offering professional service for 32 years. Originally owned by WNNO of Wisconsin Dells, John Marlewski, purchased the business in 1978 and ran it with his wife, Colleen. Over the years he trained his daughter, April and in 2004 she began the transition of leading the business. Now run by April and her husband Tony Hudzinski, the Big Blue Boogie Machine has been revamped and continues to offer excellent service to central Wisconsin.
A Message from April:
“Hey everyone! I’m very excited to continue working with my family’s business in a new capacity! I’m soo thankful to have my husband and my parents support as I continue to do what I love! I grew up in the DJ business-with my first on-air performance at WNNO as a toddler. Through the years, I have watched and learned what makes a great DJ and eventually went to school for Communications and Public Speaking. My past experience also includes planning large and small-scale events, so I understand what goes into planning the perfect event and will work closely with you to make sure you have a successful, worry-free experience.”
In 2011 The Big Blue Boogie Machine was pushing out our bookings for weddings a little over 2 years out AND Tony & April had just launched a new business as well as were starting to think about having children. To honor our Brides & Grooms, and to stick with our belief that what sets us apart as Wedding DJ’s is you get Tony and April-we quickly realized we had to press pause with The Big Blue Boogie Machine. We finished out all wedding contracts that were booked and by 2013, started having kiddos.
Fast Forward to 2017-The Big Blue Boogie Machine was calling us back! Excited to see where technology has gone for the DJ industry, eager to get back to helping others plan one of the biggest days of their lives and ready to hear some great music again, The Big Blue Boogie Machine was quietly relaunched in Fall of 2017, but held off accepting bookings until the formal relaunch in January 2018.
And now, here we are! Ready to rock the house, fill your dance floor and ensure your event is carefree and creates memories that will last forever!
