Octoberâs Theme of the Month: GRATEFUL
Ok, this one is kind of a gimme seeing as we celebrate Thanksgiving this month (how is it next week already?!).
But, this is the perfect reminder for me right now! After a crazy last few months, I need to take time and recognize that I have a million things to be grateful for.
Sometimes itâs hard to remember in the hustle and bustle of life. Take a moment to take stock of things that are good in your life and going right.

New Theme of the Month: REFLECT
Taking inspiration from the Kristin Reinitz podcast episode, take time to reflect! Yes, we have goals and deadlines and a million things to do. But take a moment to look back at where youâve been and where you are. Realize how hard you have worked and how far you have come and take a second now and then to enjoy where you are right now! Thanks for the great advice!
And yes, I totally missed last month. đ€Šđ»ââïžThe unofficial theme was ADAPT as that is what I was constantly doing. Between sick kids, limited childcare, and a full schedule, social media was not on the top of my list. Oh well, you canât win them all, you can just move forward. đȘđŒ

Last night held their annual Year End Celebration where they recognize Excellence in MPI (Meeting Professionals International).
I was honored to receive the Rising Star Award! âïž
It has been such a fun experience learning, growing and making connections within this group! Iâm excited to continue being an MPI member and contributing to such a wonderful organization!

Iâm working on refreshing my processes, have new headshots scheduled, found a new workout routine, and thatâs only a start of what Iâm hoping to work on this month.

What better way to kick off the week of Christmas than with a Reindeer Party?! đŠđ·đ
Dakota County Lumber wanted to host a Christmas-themed Customer Appreciation Party as a âthank youâ to all their awesome clientele. Since COVID-19 prevented them from hosting an event last year, they wanted to amp it up this year. And we did just that!
There were photos in Santaâs sleigh with live reindeer, fire tables to keep warm and make sâmores over, client gifts, cookies to eat and decorate, an open bar, and of course, hot cocoa and cider.
This was such a fun event to plan and execute. I mean, live reindeer up close and in person?! Even I got excited when then pulled in! Reindeer might be an integral part of this event in the future.

If you havenât seen my story over the last few days, Iâve be been dropping off appreciation gifts to clients and vendors. Itâs been so fun to create these and I am loving giving them out! Had an amazing time learning and connecting at BizCom last week! The venue, food, drinks, topics, and speakers were all on point, and the overall vibe was energetic and exciting! I learned some fascinating things, saw some lovely familiar faces and met some awesome new ones. I canât wait to apply what Iâve learned and come back next year!

This time of year, I love a good PSL, red wine, or dark beer. What is your favorite go-to drink right now?
Why am I asking this? Because this is my preferred way to meet clients - over a drink! Whether itâs a cocktail, coffee, wine, tea, beer, hot chocolate or even a tall glass of water, sharing a beverage is a perfect setting to get to know each other and discuss your event needs.
