We’re Celebrating 🥳 Chef 👨‍🍳 Alex here! This June marks the 2nd year anniversary of Baguette 🥖 Sunday! We started during the pandemic when I had lost my chef position like so many others and we were wondering what the future held for our family. I’d been baking a lot and perfecting my baguette recipe when my wife said let’s offer them to our neighbors! We began taking them around and before we knew it Baguette Sunday was born! We are so grateful to each and everyone of you for helping us have this little family business! We have a great anniversary special and menu this week! Be sure to check it out!

My mother enjoyed seeing her son and Baguette 🥖 Sunday in action! She’s visiting for a month from Nantes, France 🇫🇷 my hometown and it’s been so lovely. She had never met our youngest, 3 year old Luci, between the Pdemic & my father passing it’s been much too long that my mother didn’t get to see her 4 French American grandchildren! Thank you all for your kindness and interest in her today, it means a lot! We have the best customers in the world 🌎 We’re hoping to do some day trips around Vegas so if you have any suggestions, we’re all ears 👂

Did you know you can throw a bouquet or 2 into your next Little Frenchies order? Emily used to do the Floral and Christmas Decorations for 2 years where we met and enjoys getting to dust the skill off from time to time and be creative! These are for a Christmas 🎄 Party we’re catering tomorrow ❤️

We had a beautiful picnic up at Deer Creek/Mt.Charleston today with our “Little Frenchies”! Did you know that if you wrap your Sunday baguette 🥖 in Saran Wrap and toss it in the freezer you can pull it out anytime you want a sandwich! A quick 5-6 minutes in the oven and there you go! Baguette mid-week sandwiches! And, if you’ve never been to Deer Creek it’s a perfect day trip off the strip! 45-1hr drive and you drop 30 degrees! Pick up a picnic this Sunday and go check it out!

Posted • .rainbow.room_ It’s been a long time since I got to use my florist skills! In another life, I was a catering manager for Sun Valley Resort and whenever my clients wanted flowers I would volunteer to work with the head florist of the resort. We got along very well and she asked me if I wanted to be her apprentice so she could retire. So soon enough I was doing all the flowers and holiday decorating for the resort’s 14 properties! It was such a great experience but I learned that floral at that level is 80% hard labor and 20% creative. But, it’s been a great skill to have as I’ve now done the flowers for not only my own wedding but 4 brothers and sisters weddings! So when a private party asked to cater their event and i was working out the details of their event we started talking about floral I was excited to be able to fill that request as well! So today I took the girls to a wholesale florist and told them many stories of the days when Papa Chef and I worked down the hall from each other, and we’d make plenty of excuses to see what the other one was up to 😇

Chef Alex 👨‍🍳 has been working on his recipes. As his American wife, I like many people I know, think quiche is a breakfast option. But, I’ve learned over our last 15 years in and out of France that Quicho is a weekday stable of the french family dinner table. Alex made a Bacon, Gruyère, and Onion Quiche last night.
