Nicole and Zane got hitched at a site nestled in the Blue Mountains surrounded by their favorite people. Aside from the gorgeous couple, stunning venue, great music, and delicious food, this one was so very special for me. I have known Zane quite literally since he was in diapers and he and my brother have been great friends for most of their lives. Kindergarten holiday concerts, weekends spent at various sports tourneys, coming home to handprints on ceilings and cards stuck in light fixtures - all memories that ol’ Zaneroni had a hand in (both literally and figuratively 😂).
And now, as we worked together to organize their wedding, I’ve gotten to know Nicole, who couldn’t be any sweeter and it makes me so happy that these 2 found each other. They compliment one another in the most perfect ways.
Wishing the newest Mr. And Mrs. Adkins the most special life together 🤍 It was an absolute honor to be able to play a small part to help bring their big day to life.

Okay, in all honesty, I believe wedding planning timelines can be slightly problematic just due to the varied nature of wedding planning in and of itself. However, they CAN be a super useful tool, if nothing else, just to use as a sort of general checklist - you may find something you hadn’t considered yet. So, if I was about 10-12 months out, here’s what I would be working on:
Hiring a coordinator 📋 A lot of people wait to hire a coordinator, whether it’s because they initially think they can do it on their own, or they just put an emphasis on other vendors first, I HIGHLY recommend finding a GREAT coordinator early. This is because they can assist you with allllllllll the rest of the items on the planning timeline. If you find a coordinator you really vibe with right off the bat, they can help suggest some of their preferred vendors for other services with whom you’re more likely to also vibe with, cutting down on the number of vendor searches you end up of having to do.
Finalizing the vibe and creating a mood board ✨Time to comb through those Pinterest boards, saved IG Inspo, whatever. But it all together and start building a cohesive vision (or hire someone to help you do that).
Setting a budget💰You’re not going to get too far without having an idea of what you want to spend on things (you’ll learn REAL quick). Do some research, ask your coordinator, discuss things with your partner and decide how much you want to spend where.
Touring & selecting a venue (or venues)💒The venue is important to act fast on because a) it will likely be one of your biggest wedding costs and b) it will largely set the tone for the day. Dates fill up fast, often a year or two in advance, so make sure you’re able to get your dream location by starting the search early.
Building a guest list 👥 Guest list (or, rather guest count) has one of the largest impacts on the budget. It also affects your venue choice. You’ll need to have an idea of how many pe
One of the top regrets couples have on their wedding day is that they didnt build in enough time for themselves. Your day should be a celebration if your love and commitment, but many couples find themselves overwhelmed attending to guests’ needs instead of finding moments to savor together.
How do you ensure you and your partner create the most memorable moments together?
1️⃣ Schedule private moments: Plan short breaks throughout the day where you and your partner can steal away for some alone time. Whether its a quiet moment before the ceremony or a quick escape during the reception, these breaks will help you connnect and relax.
Pro tip: make sure your coordinator knows when and where youre taking these breaks (AKA build them into the timeline) so that they can run interference for anyone searching for you. Not today, Aunt Sally ✋
2️⃣ Delegate duties: Trust your coordinator to handle the details. Delegating tasks means you can focus on enjoying your soecial day without the stress
3️⃣ Capture the little moments: Have your photographer follow you to capture candid shots. These will remind you of the intimate, spontaneous moments that often go unnoticed, but mean the most.
Above all, remember that its YOUR day - make sure you cherish every second together as a newly minted married couple.
Maren and Earl kicked off their wedding festivities with a western themed dinner. This one was SO. FUN. Many materials were foraged straight from the fields surrounding their house, hay bales for seats, and lots of vintage accessories left by Maren’s Grandpa 🤠🌾
You’ll be seeing more of this because I. Am. Obsessed.

While it often seems like everything ‘just comes together’ in the end, that’s rarely the case. From handling emergencies to coordinating every little details, a coordinator IS the hidden magic that ensures your wedding day is flawless.
No matter how meticulously planned or thought out, events invariably have *something* happen. For example, perhaps linens were miscounted requiring some last minute ironing. Or maybe the weather isn’t cooperating… Don’t worry, we have plan a,b, and c in our back pocket! 😉

We are incredibly grateful for the immense generosity of all of the vendors who donated their time, resources, and expertise to help make this day a reality.

According to a nation-wide poll, 1 in 3 women are secretly disappointed in their proposal. Yikes. That’s not to say your proposal needs to be extravagant and over the top…in fact, often it’s just the opposite. A simple, understated expression of your love and commitment to your partner can be just as amazing (or more than) as one scattered with hundreds of candles and 12 dozen red roses. The key 🔑, though is to make sure it is well thought out and reflective of you two as a couple and the story you’ve created thus far. That’s where we come in.

When you’re just beginning your planning process, it can be daunting to know where to start. The good news is that finding and meeting with with a planner/coordinator can help you to wrap your head around the items to consider as you move forward. It can also help you to determine the level of service that best suits your needs.
In general, these meetings are quite casual (and hopefully somewhat fun!). They can be virtual or in person over a cup of coffee or a snack 😉 If you’re one of those in the boat of not knowing where to begin, don’t worry — we’ll take the wheel and steer the convo. These discussion topics are just to get a feel for your event and where you are in your planning journey. Often, the answer to MANY of these questions is “I don’t know yet” - and that’s perfectly fine!

Selecting the “right” event professional can (and should) significantly impact your event. Here are 🖐️ tips to help you find the perfect partner to suit your unique needs:
👉 Define you needs and budget: Before you begin your search, take the time to really sit down and think about your expectations. Consider the level of service you require (design only, day of coordination, the whole she-bang). Establish a realistic budget for these services. This clarity will guide your search.
👉 Research and read reviews: look at a wide variety of professionals in your area to see what is and isn’t available and for what price. Look for professionals with solid reputations and positive reviews. Check websites, social media, and online forums.
👉 Schedule a consultation/interview: These meetings often make or break a deal, in my opinion. Get a feel for their communication style. Prepare a comprehensive list of questions that address your specific questions and concerns. Ask them about their planning process, unique services, or specializations.
👉 Check credentials: Ask for references. A reputable professional should have a well organized portfolio, clear contracts, and a transparent pricing structure.
👉 Evaluate overall compatibility: In my opinion, this is single-handedly the most important factor. Choose someone with whom you feel a strong connection and feel a great sense of trust. Make sure your communication styles are complimentary (poor communication/differing ideas of what good comms are is probably the number one factor in dissatisfaction). A professional who values your input and C O L L A B O R A T E S with you with contribute to a more enjoyable and stress-free planning process.
Remember, you event professional plays a pivotal role in bringing your vision to life, and will be your PIC through the entire process. Take the time to find someone who not only has the SKILLS and EXPERIENCE, but who also aligns with your personality and co
