It has been three years since Flavors of Peru has taken off. Our mission as a team was to provide the most authentic Peruvian flavors, make those flavors have a special place in Minnesota and contribute to make our Peruvian community proud of our traditions and identity. The journey has been rewarding, meaningful and challenging. We made so many wonderful connections and relationships with people from all over Minnesota that shared the same joy about food and culture with us, as well as served as a connection and support to many people. The challenges were keeping up the demands of our start-up. We are grateful that our start-up flourished over the years and we are honored to know we are strongly supported despite our limited presence. This short video tells you more about who we are and our beginning. A peruvian immigrant family wanting to leave a mark in Minnesota with their skills, drive and passion for food. Rafael and Tula moved from Peru 5 years ago to reunite with their daughter Andrea and start a new life in Minnesota. Little did we know we would be taking on journey that would be delicous and rewarding. This video was made by the amazing Guy Wagner @fromafield who recorded us since before Rafael came to Minnesota and followed our story. We will do our next pop-up April 15th in Minneapolis.
