Hi Everyone!.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything on IG so I want to take a moment to re-introduce myself! 👋🏽 I’m Minoti Mehta, the Founder of The Vermilion Company!.
I started my company as a tribute to my Dad. ❤️ My passion for weddings & events was originally sparked by my Dad’s love for event planning. We had dreams of starting a business together and the name Vermilion was his idea. Before we could open Vermilion, he was diagnosed with late stage cancer and we lost him in just a few short months..
On November 27th, Vermilion turns 8 years old and I am so incredibly grateful for all the support I have received throughout my entrepreneurial journey. Thank you to the Clients who trusted me, the Venues and Vendors who recommended me, the Mentors who pushed me, my team and family that stood by me, and my Dad from above who kept me going 🙏🏽. Thank you for helping me achieve mine and my Dad’s dream - I could not have done this without you. Every day I wake up feeling grateful for another day, another opportunity to pursue my dream. 🙏🏽 .

My favorite aspect of event design is designing for sustainability! 🌎
It breaks my heart to see flowers and greenery 🌱 get thrown away after events so I’ve started designing events using seasonal produce 🍊 and letting guests take them home after the event! Sharing our latest sustainable designs over the next few days! Happy client, happy guest, and happy earth! 🤗

There’s something so wonderful about wedding photos - beautiful moments shared by the couple and captured by the photographers.
What isn’t typically shown is the Wedding Planner that’s working hard on the back end to make sure there’s enough time for the couple to get into the right headspace to share those moments, for them to not be stressed out about the event details, for the Photographer to get the right lighting for the capture.
That timing calculation, those event details, that’s what we do best! 🤗

As we begin a new year, I want to take a moment to re-introduce myself! 👋🏽 I’m Minoti Mehta, the Founder of Vermilion Weddings & Events!.
I started my company as a tribute to my Dad. ❤️ My passion for weddings & events was originally sparked by my Dad’s love for event planning. We had dreams of starting a business together and the name Vermilion was his idea. Before we could open Vermilion, he was diagnosed with late stage cancer and we lost him in just a few short months..
I went on to work in M&A at KPMG before deciding to take a sabbatical in hopes of finding meaning & purpose in my life. I journeyed through Italy, Spain, Singapore, and Bali in search for my true passion ✈️. At the end of my 6 month journey, I opened Vermilion Weddings & Events and I haven’t looked back since! 🥂.
2020 and 2021 were some of the hardest years of my career and my life. As many others, I also experienced a lot of uncertainty and anxiety - I wasn’t sure if my business was going to survive. What started as a Pandemic year of uncertainty turned into the busiest year of events I’ve ever experienced..
I’m beyond grateful for all the support - the Clients who trusted me, the Venues and Vendors who recommended me, my team that stood by me, and the amazing community of creatives who encouraged me 🙏🏽. Thank you for helping me survive - I could not have done this without you. Every day I wake up feeling grateful for another day, another opportunity to pursue my dream. 🙏🏽 .

One of my favorite things to do during the Holidays is check out all the beautifully decorated hotel lobbies!
If you’re in SF - The Palace, Westin St Francis, and Intercontinental Mark Hopkins are all amazing! Treat yourself to a seasonal cocktail at The Palace Pied Piper Bar, a little bubbly at the Champagne Pop-up Bar at the Westin, or a cocktail with a view at the Top of the Mark!

There so many fun and festive activities to try during the Holidays - all the hotel lobbies are beautifully decorated, bars offer specialty Holiday cocktails, and of course, sitting by your own tree sipping Egg-Nog or Boozy Hot Chocolate is probably one of my personal favorites 🤗. I’ll be posting about a couple this week and next - I hope you guys can check them out!
Merry Meritage at the and in Napa is a wonderful place to go! They have a beautiful tree, an ice skating rink, and speciality Holiday cocktails! For those who prefer Vino, there’s tasting rooms surrounding the rink!
