PLANNING COMPANY OF THE YEAR & COMPANY OF THE YEAR NOMIEES 🥂 seeing our name next to all the other amazing companies is mind boggling, truthfully. The Kansas City wedding community is so beyond talented and we are honored that someone out there thought of US 🤍

If you’re here for the long haul - thank you. I have never been one to share my personal life here, maybe some glimpses here and there but not the nitty gritty. I personally have had the hardest year of my life. I have been challenged in more ways than I can count. My team has picked me up, supported me, sat in the car and cried with me, picked up the slack when I was dealing with some personal things, and brought me endless Diet Cokes 🤪

Every day, through the tears, the long drives to weddings where I thought, “can I do this today?” my team reminded me that yes, yes you can and I am so thankful for them.

So this year these awards are for them, our amazing (small but mighty) team 🤍 which we need new pics since we’ve added to the team 🫠

I waited 2 days to post, I’ve typed this caption 6381826492 times. But here is where we landed - these nominations, especially this year mean more than you know 🤍

KC 🪩

When we first met Katherine and Cody she showed up with her entire vision on paper (the most detailed vision we have ever seen). Disco balls, custom made fringe, handmade napkins, every little detail down to a T. It was an honor to come in and help execute her vision!

To be honest, I have a love/hate relationships with these posts. I love that our calendar fills up so quickly but we hate turning people down.

Here’s what she had to say about spending the morning with her closest gals” Everyone deserves a good hype(wo)man on such a special day- and of course who could make a better one than your besties! Spending the morning getting ready together and jamming out to our favorite throwbacks was an awesome way to calm my nerves. All my bridesmaids helped me have the best morning and fueled the excitement of the day to come. While I tortured Tori and Lauren with a million buttons, getting to see the look on everyone’s face for the reveal made me feel like an absolute goddess. All of them had a hand in the look from make up, lashes, the dress, to the glow of confidence. I can honestly say I never felt more beautiful in my life and I know their energy was part of what made that happen. Having a bridesmaid’s reveal was the second best thing I did that day!”

✨First Look Friday— Mollie & Gage got married in November 2022, they did an aisle first look & Mollie has shared a different perspective about spending the night before and morning of with Gage, we really enjoy that our couples really do WHATEVER MAKES THEM HAPPY!! •
“Gage and I did a first look by firm request of Gage! I could've gone either way but Gage was very adamant about seeing me for the first time in my dress when I came down the aisle. I think a lot of folks enjoy the first look to have a special moment alone the day of - which I am all for. But, Gage and I spent the night prior together AND we also spent the morning of our wedding together which was special in our own way. We got to enjoy our morning coffee, we wrote our vows together, and then went our separate ways. Having your first look during the ceremony definitely heightens emotions but it makes it feel so much more special when you haven't seen your fiance ALL day and when you do, it's in front of all of your loved ones.”

Scrolling through old wedding photos back from when we first started. Tears rolling down my face just so dang proud. Proud of the growth we’ve had over the past 2 years. Proud that SO many couples and vendors have welcomed us into this industry and trusted us. US, they trusted US.

This cake was made by .cakes one of my very first vendor friends! I sent her name to a bride today & it just reminded me of her and one of my favorite cake pictures! I went looking for it and today I was reminded why we started this journey and why we are here!

Round 2- First Look Friday! ✨

• Tori & Pablo did a first look down the aisle BUT they decided to do a ‘first touch’ Lucky for us Tori gave us the scoop on a first touch: “Pablo and I (mostly me) wanted that aisle first look photo. We also knew we would be so busy throughout the day we just wouldn’t have time in our timeline for a first look! 30 minutes before the ceremony we did a first touch where we said hi to each other and held hands for a minute for the photo op! The nerves when we did this were SOOO high— I really thought I would go crazy!!! It was so nice to get a moment together before the craziness without sacrificing the aisle first look I always imagined we would have. And I mean look how cute he is crying 🥹”
