Six years ago, in December 2018, I took a huge leap of faithâŚI decided to take a sabbatical with my then 10 year old little boy. I was desperate for a change, and that change started in my favorite place on earth-New Orleans.
I was planning on taking a 3 month tour of the Deep South, first stop New Orleans, then Savannah, and Charleston. I wanted to share my favourite places with my son. We had travelled all over the world together, but he had only been a year old when he last visited the Deep South!
The Universe had other plans, and shortly after arriving I met my love Greg! What an incredible whirlwind our life has been since our first afternoon date at the Vintage, on Magazine street!
Between a difficult and delayed immigration process, to the pandemic, the first few years were not easy! Starting over was tough. I wasnât allowed to work, or drive, and at times I was very lonely. But, this magical city, its majestic trees, and its beautiful people were so kind to me, and my Gabriel.
I feel so grateful to live in my soul home, and to have met my love Greg. I have a beautiful circle of friends, Iâm part of an incredible krewe, and I truly feel part of a wonderful ever growing community of like minded souls.
This year I took another leap of faith and listened to my spirit guides & Ancestors to open âThe Chapelâ. It has been a labour of love, and something I am truly proud of!
I feel more at home here than I have ever felt anywhere else. Thank you New Orleans, to my lovely couples, my kind wedding vendor community, whom I consider friends, and my sisters. And to my Greg; your love, care, and support, on even the hardest of days, are everything! I love you. Iâm so excited about what 2025 will bring, and so thankful for the joy that 2024 brought into my life.â¤ď¸
