I gained back some of the 100 pounds that I lost don't ask how much. Tomorrow starts the weight loss challenge. It will be a 3 person team with a team captain. This is all for fun and also to help a large group of people lose some weight. Form your teams and come up with a catchy team name. The more teams the better. You can weigh at home or on a scale somewhere else. once again this will be an honor system. All peoples weight will be confidential. The amount of weight loss will be determined by the total weight of the team. This will be a 55 day challenge. Starting August 6th and ending Sept. 30th This will be a honor system with the Team Captain recording the weights of each team member and total weight loss. Everyone on the team will weigh weekly and report to the team Captain. Lets have some fun with this one contact me with any questions. Start picking your teams. You can all live in different towns and still be part of the challenge. Some team names so far The Scale Huggers. The Blubber Babies, Triple Threat, form your teams and weigh in tomorrow lets have some fun.

As the funeral for Douglas Bristol gets closer there has been some changes. The family has decided and requested a flag line at the funeral home. The funeral starts at 10 am on July 15th we should all meet at the funeral home at 9 am for Riders Meeting. Norm Coudy from Chapter #11 Hebron is providing the flags at the funeral home. Norm is also driving the route this afternoon to see what kind of road conditions we are looking at. Henry Russell from Chapter 163 Northplatte will provide the flags at the cemetery in Waco.

Douglas Bristol Funeral will be held Monday July 15th at 10am at the Gerdes Meyer Funeral Home 2412 H Street Fairbury, Ne. The family has requested not to have a flag line at the funeral home. We will es**rt Douglas to his final resting place at the Ebenezer United Methodist Cemetery in Waco Ne. We will than stand in a flag line and Honor our fallen brother.

Over the years we have covered many local celebrations and often the Legion Riders are in the parade. Yesterday Douglas Bristol of Fairbury was in the Shriner's parade and we caught a short clip of him as he again rode his motorbike in the parade.
Douglas passed away on the 4th on his way back from Seward so we decided to look back at our albums and find as many photos of Douglass doing what he enjoyed riding in various local parades on his bike.
Sorry to hear about his loss.

Attn. All Bikers and Hot Rod enthusiasts this weekend the Nebraska American Legion Riders are hosting a Poker Run that starts in Chadron at the American Legion Club we are inviting everyone to participate. We will be leaving Gordon Pump and Panty at 7:00 AM. and will pickup people all the way to Chadron. After registration there are 3 different routes through the Black Hills we will have guides. after we return to the Legion Club in Chadron we have several door prizes as well as the winners of the poker run. there is a meal and entertainment to follow the prizes please come and join us for a day of beautiful scenery and lot's of fun after we return.
