After 3 months away and much consideration we are very excited to resume taking future reservations for our outdoor educational presentations.

To ensure the safety of your guests, our hosts and animals we will be following the guidelines as set forth by the California Department of Public Health. Our COVID-19 specific protocols will include:

- Your Educational Host will be screened by a Prehistoric Inc. manager at the beginning of shift per CDC guidelines for COVID related symptoms and encouraged to stay home if exhibiting.

- All events must be held outside with small groups where physical distancing can be maintained.

- Your Educational Host will maintain physical distancing of at least 6 feet and be required to wear a mask for duration of event. For your convenience each host will be provided with a personal voice amplifier to ensure guests can hear and enjoy all the educational information provided.

- At the conclusion of the event the educational host will set the African Spur Thigh Tortoise and 8ft Burmese Python out for a once in a lifetime photo opportunity followed by limited individual and family photos with the Burmese Python. Although our selection of animals and quality of information will not change, hands-on interaction will be limited to just the listed experiences. Animals will be sanitized after all interactions.

- Hand sanitizer will be readily available at every event. Hand washing stations with soap and water are highly recommended to be available to guests before, after and during the event.

- Vehicles and travel containers will be sanitized after each use.

- No-contact payment solutions will be in place.
Of course, everything listed above is in addition to the protocols we have been practicing for the last 25 years to keep our animals and guests safe, happy, and healthy.

In addition we will be launching our Virtual Presentation Program which will bring our creatures from around the globe right to your computer screen.

We Miss You!

Dear Prehistoric community,

First of all, we hope you and your family are safe at home. We know this is an unprecedented time not just for us here at Prehistoric, but together globally. We look forward to supporting each other during these challenging times.

Per Gov. Newsom's mandate regarding COVID-19 The Reptile Zoo is closed to the public and, Jurassic Parties, our hands-on educational events have been postponed until May. During this time we are taking every precaution to keep not only our team but also our animals safe and well cared for. This closure will be difficult financially, but we are looking forward to inviting guests back to enjoy our hands-on and interactive experience as soon as responsible.

The retail functions of Prehistoric Pets (https://prehistoricpets.com/visit-our-store) will remain open and available to customers Monday-Saturday 12PM-5PM as we understand in this time of uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 caring for your beloved pets is still an essential need.

Although our doors may not be open to the public our team is still diligently caring for the over 100 species (https://prehistoric-inc.square.site/animals-and-education) who call The Reptile Zoo home. This closure will be difficult financially, but we are looking forward to celebrating with you again through our hands-on, interactive, and educational experiences as soon as responsible.

While we can't share our reptiles in your home physically we will be posting family-friendly educational content on our social media to share with your kiddos.
