It was brought to my attention that many thought my last post was a goodbye. Business has been on a steady increase over the years but it seemed I was always just getting by. Although, I am always learning something new, maintaining steady business, keeping the books, and hiring help 🤪 it was the just having what I need that got on my nerves. Nothing wrong with God meeting needs only, but how I felt about it is another topic for another time, right now let me stick with the purpose of the post. Wondering if I could do anything about it, I prayed for God to show me and bless me with more. In an answer, I felt like God was telling me to step down from Sunday work. So I did. I turned down Sunday inquiries to find that some were flexible with another day AND immediately I received weekday business, how exciting! Off to a good start. Until I got a call for a really large project that would set me straight. Just one problem…it was on a Sunday! 😬 “Did God really say to not work Sundays? And surely He knows how much I need the money,” I reasoned with myself. Well, I took the job and said it would be my last. No harm in that, right?Turned out that party had many mishaps and mistakes that even though my client was extremely happy and all the guests were impressed, I ended up wasting product, ruining inventory, and paid waaaay more for overtime staff to cover my mistakes than ever. By the time the party was over my profit was pretty much gone! My anger towards myself was cut short by the anxiety that set in when my phone wasn’t ringing, every inquiry kindly turned us down, and my calendar the next couple of months was empty. Two months I didn’t have one event on the books! Did I say not one! God sustained me and taken care of me in ways unexpected, but it has not been fun. That event should have been a return compared to one month of work, but instead I fell short (as humans always do) and ended up broke for two. “Not that big of a deal, one said.” James 4:

…And then there are setups that don’t turn out quite as I imagined. The ones that went much better in your head lol but when racing the clock you snap a photo and get out as fast as you can only to notice all of the things you would have done differently AFTER you are gone 🙄 I always wonder if the client notices 🤔Fortunately, two of these left amazing reviews and the other just booked me again 🙏🏾 thank the Lord! Decorators post fast videos sometimes for a reason 😂 can you spot the imperfections?
For the most part my clients understand but there will always be those they question 😉 provide them with answers.
Love the way @wpe_production took my map and executed my vision. Thanks for helping me make the client smile :)
I always say balloons have a mind of their own and I mostly hate them until the end product puts a smile on my face :) This project (and my client) were loads of fun! Look at those mermaid fin vases she found #supercute
