Whew. It’s been a minute. Hi, I’m Kristin! I’m coming up for a breath and popping on to say hey!

These last several weeks have been hard. Lots of grace, deep breaths, and hugs. We may be limping across the virtual school finish line with five crazy kiddos but here we come!

Phrases I’ve caught myself saying recently while doing virtual school with my kids:

- “Please take the cat out of the zoom meeting.”
- “Please don’t lick the plant vase.”
- I’ll use my hairdryer to fix the assessment” (immediately after a cup of water spilled all over the paper packet for virtual learning...five minutes before the class started).

I know I’m not alone in all of this! Hang in there friends!

Togather Indy friends! We are so excited to share some big news! We are honored to be having a guest speaker come to our next Zoom call. After our initial call last week, what we heard a few times were questions about navigating contracts and legal issues during times when we aren't allowed to work, events and weddings are getting cancelled, and how to approach our amazing clients while still honoring the contracts and legal agreements we have in place.

A few weeks ago, before social distancing and quarantines, and I met for coffee and talked about life, work, business and we hit it off so well. Finding connection within the wedding and event industry is so key, as many of us find ourselves on a sometimes lonely road of entrepreneur, and we realized now more than ever how important connection and support is.

A lot of us industry creatives are facing really tough situations right now, and out of this we began to dream up an idea of how we could show up and create connection during this time so that when we are able to meet in person again, show up for work again, work with our amazing clients for all their amazing life events again, and create with others again, we’ll have stronger relationships, new friendships, and have been able to help each other out during such an unprecedented time.

We’re calling it Togather Indy and the purpose is simple: Let’s find new ways to be together and gather, discover ways to show up for each other, and build relationships.

We met over Zoom last week with some amazing local event and wedding creatives, and had a laid back conversation, holding space for each other as we shared about ourselves and our businesses, our current struggles and thoughts, and then what we might be needing right now. It was so beautiful. We aren’t alone, you aren’t alone, and we can use this time to come together and “gather” and help support each other.

We would love for you to join us as we keep dreaming and connecting with other wedding and event creatives in Indianapolis. We have some good things in the works! For now, we'll be meeting over Zoom calls, and we're working at bringing in folks to answer questions and share their expertise with us to offer some support right now.
