Do you want to elevate an outside space with decor?

Here's a decorating tip for outside decor...

Be mindful to communicate with your planner and/or decorator that you plan to use an outside space AND that you want it decorated.

Why is this important? I'm glad you asked 😊

Weather is a big unpredictable factor for outside decor. We plan installations differently for outside decor by using heavier framing and/or suggesting decor we think would fair better outside. At the end of the day, we, too, want your event to be a success and for your decor to hold up for the entire event.

Let's get into client preference and budgeting. . .

A couple of things to note:

Sometimes, a client has a firm budget that does not allow for all of the bells and whistles to implement their original vision. And oftentimes, clients don't know what decor costs. And that's ok. We don't know what we don't know. It does not mean you can't have a fabulous event!

Here's a tip... Loosen up the reigns! Ask your planner and/or decorator for their professional suggestions on how to decorate your event space. Or give them the freedom to be creative while keeping your vision in mind. Often times, you'll find that their ideas will exceed your expectations. Creatives often tend to do more than requested when allowed the freedom to create.

For this event, we mixed two different style centerpieces to accommodate the budget while still being impactful. The client was very happy.

Prep work for the annual art exhibit at Hampden Elementary Middle School. This year's theme: Magical Rainforest.

The art exhibit displays the art work of all of the children st the school from pre-k through 8th grade.

Dell Chromebook Giveaway
Children between the ages of 6 and 18 are able to receive a FREE Chromebook at this event. Children must be a Baltimore City resident. One device allowed per household.

A parent or caregiver must be with their child during the event; however, youth who are 16 and older can pick up their device without a parent or guardian present. The Chromebook orientation and brief digital skills assessment takes about 30 minutes.

Giveaways are first come, first served. The event may end early if all devices are given out.

Let's get into this Art Show & Ice Cream Social displaying the creative works of the children at Hampden Elementary Middle School.

This year, their theme was "Under the Sea." Each grade level contributed a different type of art project for the event.

Pre-K created Mosaic turtles

K through 2nd created underwater scenes

Pre-K through 1st also created the hanging jellyfish

2nd grade made the jellyfish paintings

3rd grade created the shoebox aquariums

4th and 5th crafted one point perspective aquarium drawings

Middle School (6th-8th) created under the sea inspired drawings and paintings of their choosing

Our balloon sculptures were the final touch to accent their hard work.

Hurt to Healing - Free Domestic Violence Community Event

The Hurt to Healing event was a free domestic violence workshop and reception to help parents, caregivers, educators, mental health professionals, and other adults support children in communicating their feelings about witnessing domestic violence.
