At the ripe age of 1, Lu realized that drumsticks were more comforting to him than a warm bottle. After many bands, tours in vans, and blistered hands, Lu continues his prolific songwriting in not just his solo career but also with his band, Sunfur.

Currently Lu writes daily and performs at specialty venues where the atmosphere and intimacy are paramount. A prolific songwriter and passionate performer, Lu’s music will resonate your classic rock mantra while pulling the heartstrings of your new indie desires.

Hope y’all had a great weekend! Make your next weekend even better by joining us at Blue House Stage for Aviva le Fey and Alex Dunn.

Aviva sings heart songs – some for love lost, and others for humanity forgotten – with a tone and cadence that somehow conjures both the vintage pop of the Fifties and the dark, dreamy sounds you might hear coming from that haunted backwoods bar in 1990s Twin Peaks, Washington. She offers a frequency of hopefulness, a frequency to cry to, a frequency that begs you to dig a bit deeper. Her songs are honest and endearing, bold and restless, easy to listen to and sometimes hard to hear. Aviva’s music invites you to look into the dark cracks of everything – it can be intimidating, but as we know that’s how the light gets in.

Aviva is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist originally from the Bay Area, and has traveled far and wide to share her songs and play music with friends. Over the last few years, Aviva has supported John Craigie, Josiah Johnson (The Head & The Heart), Rainbow Girls, Kit Center, and Chelsea Coleman.

Reformed commercial fisherman and singer-songwriter Alex Dunn recently left Seattle and relocated to the rural outskirts of Aztec, New Mexico. Dunn uses his own personal blend of Folk/Americana to reflect on the many lives he's led, from his youth along the border of Colorado and Wyoming to the quiet moments aboard commercial fishing vessels in the remote waters of Southeast Alaska. Melodic sawdust and salt air, his music breathes with a sense of place, yet is imminently accessible and speaks to the universal.

Magenta Spreen is a collaboration between singer-songwriters Kristen Gradwohl and Talmon Owens. Their storytelling swells with heartfelt harmonies and dreamy melodies. Kristen and Talmon draw inspiration from folk acts of the 1960’s and 70’s and modern artists like Kacy and Clayton.

Meeting in 2012 via a chance YouTube sighting and fueled by a once-in-a-lifetime musical chemistry and friendship, Canadian-American Roots-Folk duo Dan Frechette and Laurel Thomsen are “prodigious players with songwriting that sets them apart.” With soaring violin, diverse guitar styles, compelling storytelling, a dash of harmonica and humor, and unique vocal rapport they deliver a dynamic, engaging, polished performance.

The band’s self-released album Songs For The Breakdown is the pinnacle of Maya Elise & The Good Dream’s welcoming and genuine folk music to date. Fellow Pynins is an award winning contemporary folk duo with a keen and bucolic sense of vocal harmony and song craft. The live performance is a whimsically emotional escapade through the chasms of our, yes, feelings. Dashed with spontaneous and clever banter, mirth and woe, you will probably cry and quite possibly laugh, a lot. Wielding claw-hammer banjo, Irish bouzouki, mandolin, and acoustic guitar the duo sings predominantly original music as well as reworked traditional ballads gathered from their travels.

Featuring Ren Geisick Band and special opening guest Kacie Hill. Ren’s soulful and powerful voice is magical and mesmerizing!!

Ren Geisick is a jazz singer turned Americana singer/songwriter from Los Gatos, California. Her first album, "Ren, Love Song" produced by Jesse Harris, was released in 2017 and, in January 2022, Ren released her complete "Ruby E.P." inspired by the life, and catch phrases, of her Grandma Ruby from Oklahoma. Borrowing elements of jazz, blues, country, and soul, Ren delivers her own brand of Americana that flows seamlessly from a h***y tonk romp to an introspective ballad.

Laura T Lewis will be back at Blue House Stage this Saturday to open up the night! In collaboration with Lille Aeske we hope you join us for a great evening of music with Laura and Covenhoven.

Laura T Lewis writes songs with the soul of a time long-passed, and the spirit to withstand the passage of time. Expect lyrically driven, country and folk-inspired melodies fueled by love, loss, and a sense of humor.

The Blue House Stage set will feature Ryan Avellone (formerly of The Brothers Comatose) on guitar and mandolin. These longtime friends came together in 2022, curious about what they might find at the intersection of their musical tastes and experiences. So far, it’s been a lot of laughter and magic.
