I was chopping it up with my brother and he said something that literally made my week, my brother said when I cross his mind the picture that comes to mind is ! He said my personality personifies that whole era! As an ole head now that was big for me as Souls were a huge HUGE influence to me! Growing up in Philly was never thought I’d see them, then this past May, I had the opportunity to see not only them but and all at the same time in Asheville. Let me tell you, when our generation dies concerts will be straight wack! All 3 groups had the same energy, skills and performance talent as back in the 90’s. Now, seeing them is one thing, but meeting them is another thing! If you know me I am not fanboy, so when they was the in the merch line before the show, I was like, “ damn that dude looks familiar” thinking there’s no way any one of them would be selling their own merch, they too big for that. But sure enough it was Tajai standing there humble as all get out doing his thing, so after a lot of arguing with myself, I was f’it. I may never see them again let alone a chance to dap up 1 of 4 brothers that I esteemed in my teens and still. I wish I could’ve met the whole crew, and share the influence they had on me, but I’m grateful for 1/4th the experience! S**t, I used to throw the logo in my tags when I’d be rocking them in my cassette Walkman (that should tell you my age) cuz I thought that s**t was so f’ing cool! Thanks again all who I tagged here for the memories! Y’all some real 🥷’s.
