A picture is worth a 10000000000000 words (circa 2012)! This picture shows the love and passion I have for food. On top of being schooling I collected a ton of cookbooks, cooking magazines, & printed recipes! So much so that the weight of my love collapsed my bookshelf I bought to hold it all!! Lol nothing will give you a heart attack like being woke up out of your sleep from the sound of your bookcase breaking! has been in the making for 10years, & I’m ready!! Now….to go and pick up my chef’s knives from 😀😀😀

I have always had a love & passion for food! So it was only right I pursued that passion. So in 2010-2011 (roughly) I left Texas State University and transferred to the Art Institute’s International Culinary School program with mama (she was just there for moral support, and a lot of times ended up teaching along side the instructors! Lol). I studied all forms of food preparation, aesthetics, & more. When I started they only had the culinary program, but later offered baking & pastry which I then transferred to. From there I studied all things pastry. Bread making, cakes, European cakes & tortes, French pastry, buttercreams, chocolates…the works! Since that time I’ve created: SilkySweetTreats & The Melanated Macaron. Now I’m pleased to add Taylor’d Jane Boards & Catering!! Because life’s too short to eat boring food! This has been a long time coming for me. I now have the time to build and grow into my food, into my businesses, & my life! I created The Melanated Apothecary to nourish your spirit; to love yourself at all stages of life! Now I’ve created Taylor’d Jane to nourish your soul & tastebuds….To devour good food, indulge in amazing snacks, & drink delectable drinks!!
