Wedding Consultant in the DC/VA area Born and raised in the state of Virginia, I developed a love of the beach, beautiful flowers, and Southern hospitality.

It was when I attended Radford University, planned events for Campus Crusade for Christ, and planned weddings for friends that I found my passion: wedding and event planning. Now that I've moved to the "big city" of Northern Virginia, I have worked for several event planning companies where I have gained knowledge on how to successfully and efficiently tie all the aspects, from planning and agenda

s to pulling off the big day, together beautifully and have formed lasting relationships with several vendors. My company, Kim Newton Weddings, provides services for every bride and groom, including, day of your wedding packages, full service packages, or some one-on-one attention to get you started or help tie up loose ends.

It’s here! Come join and on March 16 - 17 for the Assister Day of Wedding Assistant Workshop in Gaithersburg, MD.

The workshop was created for those looking to gain the skills and knowledge of a wedding day assistant, and get a foot in the wedding industry.

We will cover the ins and outs of wedding ex*****on, including what our roles are on wedding day, the ins and outs of bridal getting ready, the craft of set up and break down, and understanding important details. We will use those tools and knowledge at the end to set up examples of wedding day production.

At the end of the second day of the workshop, we’re offering headshots by Photos by Sarah Beth – so bring your best outfit!

All are welcome - no previous experience required.
Registration is now open.
Space is limited.
Must attend both days.
Lunch will be provided.

2016 was a blast!!!!! We traveled for a destination wedding, a guest speaker, brought on new team members, best of all worked with the best bride and grooms (who I love when they become friends) and got to work with the best vendors!
