LiveNation Update:
· As a company, LN is trying to “lay low” and not be mainstream news right now.
· Second round of layoffs/furloughs have just occurred but all impacted employees have kept their laptops and will be coming back. No one was “terminated.”
· On sales for next summer’s concerts will start in the fall.
· LN will be testing out drive-ins over the coming weeks, but not a long-term solution for concerts. There are no big plans to expand drive in concerts across the country.
· There are “hopes” of low capacity shows in September/October. Stay tuned!
· Nationally, 88% of VIP Boxes and Corporate accounts have rolled over to 2021 – demand is there!
· 85% of people have kept their tickets for postponed shows. (this was shocking to me)
Other random comments:
· NFL will most likely be STARTING with no fans and transitioning to limited capacity throughout the season.
· Social distancing concerts would be limited seating every sixth row etc. Assigned seating will work better than lawns.
· Lawn seats might have “assigned pods” in the future.
· 60% of all ticket sales happen the weekend of the on sale. That is why they are waiting to ensure concerts will happen next year before more on sales.

Ticketmaster is finalizing a plan to begin offering refunds for 18,000 concerts and events that had to be postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
