Fusing cultures during a wedding, typically includes fusing ceremonies.
A traditional South Asian wedding ceremony can take 2-3 hours & include many steps. When fusing cultures, we weave in important aspects of Jewish, Western or African nods to incorporate both partners.
We’ve done everything from breaking the glass after the ceremony, to exchanging rings under the mandap, to ensure inclusion.

One of our favorite traditions during a South Asian wedding weekend is the “stealing of the shoe”.
Traditionally, the bride's female relatives, usually sisters and cousins, sneakily steal the groom's shoes while he is getting ready for the ceremony, then hold them ransom for money or gifts before returning them.
If you’ve never been apart of or witnessed the tradition, it is so much fun!
I often ask our bride if her family intends on partaking in this tradition, so that we build some extra time in the timeline for the game.
We also remind the groom to bring cash 💰!

Our team develops tens of timelines each wedding season and the secret sauce is planning backwards.
We always start with the end in mind.
Planning the timeline backwards allows our couples to prioritize what matters to them. If photography is important to you as a couple, making sure you’ve planned enough time (plus 30mins for buffer) is critical to the flow of the day & you receiving incredible portraits!

One of the most important details of a wedding day for our couples is discussing the baraat.
It is truly exciting to watch our grooms light up about this special step during the wedding day.

A baraat is a traditional Indian wedding procession that escorts the groom to the wedding venue. It totally sets the tone for the type of party that will ensue for the remainder of the day and our grooms go HARD!
From horses, to elephants and eight on up to exotic cars, our grooms march into their procession with style!

In 2024 we had the pleasure of planning and designing some of our most epic events.
Z & T were steadfast in their decision to incorporate bubbles as an exit shot.
These photos are stunning and getting them was a fete! We planned to get guests out of the chapel and into cocktail hour and then bring our bridal party back to stage the photos.
Placing these photos into the timeline during cocktail hour allowed us to get 10 minutes of photos at various angles to achieve their dream!

Classic details will never go out of style 😉
Z & T wanted to create a timeless vibe from the invitation to the gifts given to their guests. The left no opportunity for thoughtful personalization on the table.
The letter press and monogrammed wax seal signaled how formal the wedding would be & gave a sneak peek into the Bridgerton / Romantic garden themed destination wedding.

The exchange of garlands, during a Hindu wedding ceremony is significant! ⁣.

It is a gesture of acceptance and commitment between the bride and the groom. It symbolizes the union of two souls into one.
Our brides (and their moms) are very specific about the color, floral pattern and vibrancy of their garlands.
It is really special when our team walks through designing with the florist and their families.
