In culmination of the work we've done this year with peer-to-peer treatment and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, Monroe Public Schools is hosting a walk on May 2nd to raise awareness for empathy and kindness across our community!

The 2-mile Kindness Walk will begin at Arborwood South Elementary School and end at Navarre Field. Community and staff volunteers will lead students and families in groups of 25 along the walk, which includes thought-providing prompts that guide participants to reflect upon scenarios with an empathetic lens. The event is really about thinking about others and putting others first. As we work together to create a Community of Kindness, we believe "walking a mile in their shoes" is a fun and meaningful way to help all of us gain a greater understanding of what other students, families, and community members are going through. The evening will conclude with food, music, and experiences that we hope will make a difference. Please use the flyer link to sign up!
