The date 4/30 is a date that has been engrained in the many young lives and families of UNC Charlotte. 3 years to date the unthinkable tragedy of a mass shooting at the university where many I knew attended, shocked the nation and rocked the lives of many.
One of my grooms, Drew, was unfortunately one of the victims and was shot during this terrible tragedy. Drew was brave and resilient during his recovery and beyond.
I actually met Drew and Erin during a dog rescue event where I got to hear about how his rescue dog helped him heal during his recovery. When I heard Erin and Drew were engaged, a million thoughts were running through my head, but my first was “I’m throwing these guys a wedding. And I’m not charging them a cent”. Wedding planning is a business and a source of income for me, but it’s SO much more than that. Money simply cannot buy the beautiful day that many people put together to celebrate this couple.
After many months of planning, we finally got to celebrate this beautiful day in 2021. So much more sun than clouds, so many smiles and (happy) tears. Many coming from myself. So much tragedy turned into beauty at this wedding. Drew and Erin were meant to get married and have their beautiful life together. I was so incredibly honored to plan and coordinate their wedding. It’s a day I’ll never forget.
and Rest In Peace to Riley and Reed. You will never be forgotten.

I cannot get over how in love my couples are, ESPECIALLY Julia and Shain. Their wedding was magical, fun, and everything they hoped and dreamed! It was the most perfect day and this couple made the most out of the stress free event, and made so many memories out of it. Including going to an arcade the morning of and getting matching BFF temp tattoos for the groomsmen!

A little rain never rained on our parade 🥰☔️
All I could keep saying during Libby and Spencer’s wedding yesterday was “WOW everything is so pretty! Omg Libby looks so gorgeous!” And it truly was. A beautiful little Airbnb tucked away in Durham, NC was the most gorgeous location to host this small ceremony and reception with the people they loved the most.
We were so incredibly lucky to be a part of Libby and Spencer’s wonderful celebration. The sweetest, most IN LOVE couple I’ve ever met. They are so perfect for each other in every way, and we were so lucky to be a part of celebrating that! 🥂 Cheers to forever for this beautiful couple!

There has been some stuff going on in our local wedding industry that makes me SMH. It’s sad that there is still hate in this world, let alone discrimination in our industry. It's finally the week of Thanksgiving!! I have so much to be thankful for this season, especially for my business. I am thankful for a lot of other things such as a wonderful husband, good health, our home, and our pup.
Is anyone out there thankful for the pups in their lives?! So thankful that you would even incorporate your four legged love into your wedding?! A dog themed styled shoot?!

I was so lucky to have been able to put together my first EVER styled shoots with some amazing vendors, but they're more like amazing friends. I am especially thankful this season for my friend and mentor . Without her, I would not be anywhere near the business I am today. She's taught me how to work hard, be confident, and love what I do. I've never met someone so dedicated and in love with their work as much as Stephanie, it is INCREDIBLY INSPIRING. She helped an incredible amount on this shoot and it was not possible without her!
