Chicken Rangers Club

Free

Become an official HSFC Chicken Ranger. Learn about backyard chickens and help take care of the Holly Springs Food Cupboard's flock. Our Club usually meets monthly, for chicken time, crafts, and other fun activities. Meetings are about one hour long and parents must accompany their children.

Ages 5 -12 recommended, but any age may attend.

Did you know that late August through September is baby copperhead season in North Carolina? Young copperheads look exactly like adults, except they have a yellow-tipped tail which they will wiggle to lure prey within striking distance.

Copperheads are the only venomous snake that can be found in all 100 counties, be careful out there, y'all!

Kayak Rentals

$10 per hour (or $50 per day for full day or multi day rentals)

We rent and deliver kayaks to Harris Lake right outside of Holly Springs, Jordan Lake, Lake Raleigh on NC State Centennial Campus and other local triangle area. Rentals include kayak, paddle, life jacket, and beginner or refresher lessons. Email [email protected] or call 919-995-3477 to make a reservation. Money will be refunded to the original form of payment if reservation is cancelled due to weather.

Fee: $140 (includes all equipment and four sessions, we offer a $40 discount if you have your own equipment.

Additional Information:

Each session, we will work on our upper body strength, cardio, mobility, and overall wellness. Each participant is provided with their own kayak, life jacket, and bucket of water, and snacks. No experience needed, paddling lessons provided.

No experience is needed, a complimentary intro to kayaking session is available before each class for new kayakers. Workouts are structured so that participants may challenge themselves at their individual skill and fitness levels.

We have a few more openings for the two camps we are offering this summer.
