My name is Chelsea Gudith and I'm the owner of Fancy in the Kitchen. Fancy in the Kitchen began in 2020, when months of lockdown provided me with ample opportunity to perfect old recipes and also create new ones. During that time I enjoyed sending homemade meals and baked goods to family and friends. Through mouthfuls of carrot cake they would usually exclaim, “So Fancy!”. In actuality, my food is
not “fancy”, but I do believe that my attention to detail, quality ingredients, and a focus on elevated simplicity is what people enjoy most. As the world reopened, quality dining experiences were understandably hard to come by, and the requests for baked goods and homemade hot meals were quickly growing. In October of 2022 I expanded my services to also provide daily grab - and - go lunch selections as well as small scale event catering. All of my meals are made from scratch, using fresh premium ingredients; organic
produce, organic chicken, choiced prime beef, locally sourced whenever possible. I hope to one day combine my years of experience in the hospitality industry and love of cooking into opening a Bed and Breakfast in northern Michigan.
