Some progress on the doors. To make them uniform with the 59 parts as well as prepping a door to be a “suicide door” for the gunners seat.

Been forever since I’ve posted updates but here we go. A ton of work required to get the old girl closer to movie accurate and ready for paint. The windows on the sides closest to the back are being cut out and parts fabricated to have the look of the ecto in the movies. The pictures show that it’s about halfway there. Perhaps less than halfway.

Guys!! I am beyond excited about where the car is at. Feels like we are getting so close to a painted and assembled ecto.
Body work, sandblasting and basically getting rid of rust and prepping for primer.

Engine being rebuilt and looks brand new. Hopefully this will make ecto roadworthy for many many years. Looking forward to parades, Halloween events, charity and birthday parties!

Engine donated from a Cadillac Escalade for my ecto.

Slowly but surely. The back being modified so it will be screen accurate. Correct gurney acquired for the proton pack rack. It will need modification as well.

Beginning to take off the front and back to replace with the 59 parts. March 2022

Mid January 2022 the parts from a 1959 Cadillac arrive!!!! This will basically give us the movie accurate look from the ghostbuster movies!

November 2021 I flew up to Maryland to see the car and discuss the build. I believe this is a 1962. Not the 1959 like in the ghostbuster movies but we are going to fix that!
