It’s been a minute since I’ve posted a square, but if you’ve followed stories since I last posted in 2021 😂 you know the second half of 2021 and all of 2022 were busy years for Stella & Co! I focused on balancing work vs. being mom, and business social media wasn’t high on my list. Thankfully, I have the best clients who still allow the old school method, proof is in the pudding, word of mouth marketing work. 🙌🏻 In 2022, I finished my 12th wedding season strong, with new favorite designs, new favorite clients, and *maybe* with some balance of personal and work life! — 2023 I’m ready to knock you out of the park! Lucky 13 will be my last wedding season for a few years (we’ll see how long I last!)… I love what I do and therefore have struggled with pulling away to be attentive to my little people some days, but get sad when I’m not home to kiss them goodnight! In finding my balance, it’s never been more clear that time is a thief, no one is getting younger, and it’s not my season for evening meetings, events, and being gone on Saturday’s. You’ll still see a few more posts between now and June because I’ve got some really fun weddings in the planning process! 💚

This “Hole in One” birthday was full of fun, despite the rain! It featured a few of my favorite trends right now: slim can koozies for the lemonade/Arnold palmers, color changing cups, “golf ball” balloon stands instead of garlands, and of course a white bounce house! ⛳️

I almost let May 2021 slip by— at the moment this photo was taken earlier this month, I had no idea this wedding was occurring on the same weekend I directed my first wedding as “Stella & Co.” TEN YEARS AGO! If you know me, you probably aren’t surprised because you know I’m usually not tracking time or counting days, unless it’s for an event! Ten years have come and gone a little quicker than I’d like, but I’m forever grateful to the many clients and vendors that are forever friends and who’ve propelled me to this point in my career. Here’s to the next decade slipping by a little slower, hopefully! 🤞🏻 🥂

I was honored to coordinate the Colonel’s Luncheon for the Mississippi Highway Patrol today, as they were finally able to celebrate Cadet Class 64 who graduated May 2020! A special thank you to all of our State Troopers that continually go above and beyond to protect our great state!

My last pre-pandemic wedding celebrates their one year anniversary this weekend. I walked out of this wedding headed to the “Happiest Place on Earth” twelve hours later with only a handful of cases of this new virus I’d barely heard of reported in the Florida panhandle. No known cases in Mississippi yet. We left Disney a day before they closed the parks. What a year of unknown and adjustments it’s been for us all. The hospitality industry has been forever changed since this day last year. I’m looking forward to getting back to some wedding normalcy this Spring and Summer, and I can see it in the horizon!

Holly and Corey, while this crazy year wasn’t even on our radar when planning your day, your one of the only couples I know that could have handled it with as many laughs as you have!! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! Enjoy this very special milestone before that sweet baby boy arrives!!

If you know this couple and their families then you know they are not only gracious and beautiful on the outside, but have the MOST beautiful generous hearts on the inside. They were so easy and delightful to work for while planning this exquisite winter celebration. I am proud to see the fruition of mine and many Mississippi vendors featured through the wedding of this very deserving couple. Oh, BOY! I eased back into work with my newest little guy, who arrived in August, by my side last week! He survived his first wedding Saturday without me on 11/14 and is doing a good job of snoozing through calls! I didn’t know babies came as sweet as him (his brother was cute but he was more spice than sugar... is the nice way to say it! 😂), so I’m soaking it ALL up this go around and will have limited meeting times each week over the next year. I’ve already cut back on events to spend quality time with them, BUT I do have an opening for an early March, late April, and one October wedding!

Today, we would have been Madison and Harrison McBride’s wedding, but when the Governor started statewide mandates due to COVID-19 spikes two weeks ago, they had to make the painful, yet RESPONSIBLE, decision to postpone their wedding for a SECOND time!!! Having large families who had to travel to Mississippi, a ceremony with only family was impossible under the current mandates. Our sweet couple eloped to Colorado to keep their August wedding date and exchanged their vows and rings on Pike’s Peak earlier this evening! We’ll celebrate at a reception with their friends and family when it is safe for everyone to attend! Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. McBride! 💚

This summer, I was on vacation and this sweet bride couldn’t contain her excitement and wait for me to return before texting me to make sure I was included in her day! Her joy is contagious and her love for Corey brings pure happiness to those watching their interaction. Their ceremony actually brought tears to my eyes and was one of the sweetest I’ve seen in a long time. Her loving relationship with her parents and genuine attitude of gratitude made this one of the easiest weddings I’ve ever helped plan. Holly, Nanette, and Mike... it was a pleasure to guide you through this special chapter. 💚

👆🏻2019 in a picture: A year full of bliss, stellabrations of all magnitudes, and the most wonderful clients and supporters. Clients who invited me in to their lives, but allowed me to step back on several occasions to be a mom and the Mistletoe Marketplace Decorations Chair while still planning and assisting in monumental milestones in their lives. For that grace while figuring out the balancing act, I am so grateful. I dreamed of this business as I was graduating college in 2010. I knew with a degree in Hospitality Management that event planning was what I wanted for the next decade, but I had no idea where the journey would lead. Thankfully, I knew a few people at home that would let me help them with events part time until I took the leap of faith and began my own business. It probably would have been easier in a big city with a larger tourism industry, but then I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to become friends and family with hundreds of clients I’ve served in my community and state. 🎉Cue the confetti for a successul decade of following dreams! 🍾Here’s to 2020 and all that the next decade brings!🥂

The last wedding of 2019, was the sweetest one of the year for me! I remember watching Aly’s mom make the onesie she would bring Aly home from the hospital in! It was such a wonderful day watching her marry Justin and I was thrilled to be a small part of it. Outland Stories

Honored to have been a part of this gorgeous wedding a few weeks ago! The weekend was as beautiful as this very loved couple!

This is just the smallest teaser of Carrie & Conner's story. Being able to hear the story of their relationship through the rehearsal dinner and wedding was such an honor. On top of being a gorgeous wedding, we got to see this couple surrounded by hundreds of people who know and love them. What a day!
